Stop blaming crowd, like yeah, players are using crowd in 1v1 situations etc, but there were only few 1v1 situations during this map. Astralis can't win any trades, EG reading their moves hard. e.g Brehze vs Xyp9x 1v1, both low. Brehze known exactly where Xyp9x should be, and Xyp9x known exacly that Brehze was going from banana. He had better chances, because there is only one entry from banana and he could take any position on left side of bs he wanted. He had time to react when Brehze was picking but he didn't even shooted. EG is just playing better so far, we will see on next map.

their underwhelming play could be because of the crowd. with everyone around wanting them to lose and the home team to win and cheering loudly when eg wins a clutch or a close round it hurts their confidence and puts a lot of pressure on them. even with a psychologist and the lan experience they have, it can still be really tough. the thing is, because they have a psychologist and all that lan experience they are likely to be capable of bouncing back. if it was the other way around with a danish crowd and astralis rekting eg 16-3 on their map pick, i bet it would end 3-0.

Soundproof room and 0 eye-contact should be mandatory at this level tournaments. "Others do it too" is not an excuse. Nobody should do it. For example you can make monkey sounds when they are going b(t) or stacking at b(ct) for a tell without soundproof rooms. Eye contact is more sneaky. Put a man in front seats with baloon sticks. right hand raise is b , left hand is a. if you raise half right hand it is 3 b split. Simple and effective without getting caught. Finally, there is too much idiot here telling that astralis also hearing crowd. Crowd only giving sound tells when it is home team's advantage. By the way i hate astralis' boring game play. there is also the momentum factor. ever since astralis got over their choking phase they became capable of coming back even when being behind score or map wise. EG aren't as experienced and we don't really know what will happen if they lose a map badly. that being said, given how EG are playing and the morale support from the crowd, astralis might not have a chance to turn things around, but like you said they are definitely the most likely to pull something like that off. the only other team i can think of is mibr during their prime.

Soon enough they can be top1. Since stan joined the team they have been playing good cs and didnt even need much time to show good results. The team was solid with daps already but adding stan gives them that extra boost they needed because stan can also frag unlike daps. Remember what stan did with optic gaming back in the day? :)

Tbh Evil Geniuses deserved this like 10 times more than Astralis. I'm not a fan of either team but they were so much better on 2 out of 4 maps, and on the other 2 they were still better but Astralis managed an overtime win and a close win for EG on dust 2. Dust 2 broke the series imo, I knew EG had nuke or train in the bag, the way they were playing one of those 2 were going to go in their favor. Astralis choked on dust, EG dominated overall. We now have 3 teams contending for the number one spot, and honestly, I don't know which team has it. Astralis seems to have Liquid's number, while EG is having a great time against Astralis time and time again, but I feel like if we get a BO3 with TL vs EG right now, TL would win about 6 or 7 times out of 10... So it's rough, impossible to call for the moment imo.

The crowd played a huge role in ESL and Astralis swept the floor with NRG and Liquid in the Berlin knockout stage, while still defeating Liquid yesterday. I'd say Astralis wins most games if all 3 teams play each other 10 times.
