EnVyUs star Kenny "kennyS" Schrub and fnatic ace Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer have been nominated for this year's Esports Player of the Year Award.

On December 3, the Microsoft Theater, in Los Angeles, will host the 2015 edition of The Game Awards, which lead the way in recognising and celebrating the biggest names in the videogame industry.

There will be three separate esports award categories during the show, with the winners being determined by fan vote on the event's website. 

Following a sensational year, Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub and Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer have been short-listed for the Player of the Year award, facing competition from League of Legends prodigy Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and from Dota 2 duo Peter "ppd" Dager and Syed Sumail "Suma1L" Hassan.

CS:GO is the running for the Esports Game of the Year award, while no squad made the cut in the Team of the Year category.

In 2014, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund were nominated for the Team of the Year and the Player of the Year awards, respectively, with the Swedish giants scooping the honour, while the 25-year-old was beaten by Call of Duty legend Matt "NaDeSHoT" Haag.

The Game Awards will be aired as a global livestream at 03:00 via several partners, including go90, YouTube, Twitch, Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and TheGameAwards.com.

Kennys was an absolute monster for a quite long period in 2015. He destroyef in Titan, and was regarded as the best player in the World. Not many awpers can brag about having had that title. That being said, his level of play did, as expected, drop a bit, after joining EnVyUs. Being on a team with such great individually skilled players as envy is, it is hard to hard carry the way he did in Titan, because naturally his teammates are gonna kill more people. Tho, not many People can keep the level he had up for a whole year. Even Olof dropped off. I do think he deserves a top 5 spot, but if he is higher than Olof, is hard to see. Even tho I dont Really see Any of Them beating faker. As for the dota players I know nothing about Them or the game.

If you compare dota with cs youre a retard. Both meta and pro scene are completely different. Besides the fact the comparison you made is shit. In pronax case he had the exact same roster the whole time, while puppey was in the best team, changed player, still was in the best team, changed the complete team and, you might guess it, again was in the best team. And whats also important: he beat EG (ppd and sumail) over and over. Picking one from EG and puppey might have been okay for PR reasons, but ignoring puppey and just Picking those 2 proves how clueless and/or biased those guys are.

Look at kennyS last year, without a doubt he was the best of the year but team accomplishments do count. For me device chokes too much still, i would love for it to be guardian but team performance lets it down overall even though he has to carry the team consistently and he does it with an amazing play overall. KennyS while he was in Titan was carrying the team extremely hard just like GuardiaN, their whole gamestyle is based on the AWP carrying. Difference is KennyS once in EnVyUs went to 1 final against fnatic and lost, then won another final against Na'Vi. (Talking about majors exclusively, the rest isn't so relevant for that topic)
