FPL launches in North America
FACEIT bring an iteration of their highly successful Pro League division to North American shores.
Streamgoers of North American players' Twitch channels last night may have noticed that many of the players were queuing for competitive matches through FACEIT's platform, and many players themselves confirmed that was the case.
Early signs therefore indicated that FACEIT had launched their Pro League service (which went live in August in Europe) in North America which would allow professional and semi-professional players to queue together and therefore somewhat replace the hallowed "10-man" system that currently exists in the region.
These signs were confirmed only moments ago by FACEIT themselves.

As with the European version, a list of both professional players and up-and-coming talent will be able to compete in a five-on-five queueing system for $20,000 a month in prize money.
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo of Luminosity released a statement on the Pro League coming to North America:
"FPL is an excelent idea where the best players (and some upcoming talents) can have fun and practice while playing together. Being able to easily play with people on the same level is very important to trade gaming knowledge, improving players and community itself. The prize is awesome aswell and I'm looking forward to play a lot in FPL NA!"
In addition, Team Liquid's Spencer "Hiko" Martin gave his two cents on the matter:
"FPL is something that the American scene will benefit greatly from. An organized system that promotes pro players to play with eachother will not only raise the skill ceiling in NA, but also encourage pros to interact more with one another. I personally think growing our community closer while also helping improve individually only benefits everyone.
With the help of FACEIT, I'm happy to be a part of this and am excited to see how this grows our community," Martin said.
Finally, the top 60 ranked players from the Master League will participate in a five-day qualifer each month to determine two fresh faces that will make it into the Pro League, as is done in Europe (albeit with some recent hiccups).
To celebrate the FPL launch in North America, FACEIT is running an open Premium queue with several ladders over the weekend offering a chance to win points and other prizes. For more info, head to FACEIT's website.
