mousesports have announced that Timo "Spiidi" Richter will replace Fatih "gob b" Dayik in the starting lineup with immediate effect.

A statement issued by the German team explains that Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik, who had come under heavy criticism for his performances throughout the year, was released from the squad after his teammates decided against continuining to play with him.

Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter spent the last three months playing for PENTA after being left out of mouz's squad when Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač was moved back to an active role on the team.

Spiidi returns to mousesports

A runners-up finish at the CEVO Season 8 Finals raised a few eyebrows, but the new mousesports roster would fail to advance from the group stage at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca, prompting the team to part ways with the Turkish veteran, whom many believed to be their weakest link.

Without an ingame leader on the roster, it will be team coach Navid "⁠Kapio⁠" Javadi calling the shots during matches, NiKo revealed on Facebook.

The German team will make their first appearance with the new lineup tonight as they take on CSGL in the European qualifier for ELEAGUE Road to Vegas.

Aye but the question is wether this will make them better. I never like brawns over brains. It might be good for to have a shotcaller out of game with oversight and no problems with focus. Could however just as well be that he doesnt have the feeling of the game/match has that a player would. Works for some teams though, so Im interested to see what result this will bring.

Because CS is becoming more and more aim based, we're in the middle of a meta switch. People who don't have the best aim will invest more time into strats and smokes, and then strats take over again. IGL during this meta aren't needed apparently.

ull find out soon enuff. not like fnatic is anywhere close to playing as well as they did 6 months ago with pronax calling. they might have a bit more firepower, but they arent nearly close to the tactical level they used to be at. and midround and midgame, things might turn to shit soon enuff when envy and tsm stop sucking.

One of the things I worry about is the difference in leadership from outside the game versus inside the game. GobB has always had great mid-round intuitions, and I don't know how much that'll translate to say a spectators mode. However, we're clearly moving towards a looser/scrimmier fragger-dominated meta though.

Thank god.. gob b had enough time to get used to T1/T2 level and he just couldn't keep up, there's only so much strats can do when one player is always doing significantly worse than the others. I know everyone on HLTV loves NiKoLiNhO but I think he's the next one to get cut, probably sold to G2 or somewhere for good money. I don't think it's worth keeping him if they can't talk in German. Anyone who has ever seen the late night streams of Spiidi, nex and denis knows what I'm talking about, they just have great chemistry. And let's not forget that most of these players have made it out of Major groups multiple times before gob b and NiKo, they don't necessarily need them to be successful.

Had hoped the year would be more successful for him with mouz, but nevertheless: was great seeing him come back and I'm sure he left a lasting impression on the team. And it wasn't all that bad either; there were a lot of ups for mouz throughout the year and people can say what they want, but it wasn't until gob entered the scene that german CS has an internationally competitive team again after PENTA dropped off.

Not gonna work. Unless Kapio finds a way to get a great influence in their play, but it's not easy to call if you're not playing yourself. If not it's just becoming another pug play team, like pretty much all German teams before gob made a comeback. Kapio and gob are best friends, so maybe they actually work together when preparing tactics and strategies, like in the good old mouz team, and Kapio then making the calls (he was actually more of a "IGL" back then than gob, gob was the mastermind, but Kapio the leader).

the old penta sports made the quarter-finals at majors two times a row though ... they need 5 good aimers to compete with the best. the top5 teams have no weak spots. give them time to adjust, i'm sure they can do it especially with the help of kapio.

Gob B was pretty good, but agreed something had to be done about that lineup. Someone needs to find out a way to make Niko and Nex both play at their best at the same time, atm it's one or the other that has a good game and not both at the same time.

What Gob B brought to the table was a large amount of experience, and filling in the gap of that experience with just plain skill is something that is going to need to be filled in, and will be a very tough job for the new IGL (Presumeably ChrisJ, but I hope that piece of shit Denis gets IGL so he does something). Mouz won't be top 10 for a while until they pick-up the Knowledge and the new Lamborghini here. No really they've lost a lot with this, and it's a shame

well the knowledge and experience is more important than the fragging ability, as they can lead a team through a tough situation in comparison to an inexperienced IGL.
