The European teams for the second season of ELEAGUE have been found after FaZe, dignitas, G2 and ALTERNATE aTTaX prevailed in the closed qualifier.

The European closed qualifier - officially called the "European preliminary round", had 16 teams - five of which were invited and 11 which got their spot through one of three open qualifier cups.

In the end, the invited teams proved that they deserved the spot with all ELEAGUE spots being taken by them.

Dignitas took down Tengri 2-1 after surprisingly losing the first map to the team from Kazakhstan, and then sealed the deal with a 2-0 win over Gambit.

Adil "⁠ScreaM⁠" Benrlitom's G2 dealt with walkover with ease, but had to go through three overtimes versus Kinguin before closing the series out 2-0.

Another unexpected map loss happened in the FaZe - CHAOS match, where the underdogs from Lithuania managed a swift 16-6 win over the FaZe, only to lose the following maps 6-16 and 3-16. Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli's new team then dealt with HellRaisers: 2-0 on Nuke and Train.

SK is invited to the NA qualifier. They will have to go the same way as G2, FaZe and Dignitas did.

tournament isn't as stacked anymore, definitely will feel lacking without GODSENT. but if GODSENT can't beat ALTERNATE in a BO3, they probably don't deserve the spot. ggwp

Its much more stacked then last season thanks to all the NA scrub teams that get washed out. When Immortals and SK qualify, it will drop down from 10 to 3 NA teams.

Maybe we get another upset like today, but why not, brings story and hopes, even tho hopes get crushed later on. The 16 teams league will be more competitve then the 24 teams league anyway.

This season will be a much stronger, since only 1 crap NA team will play (assuming 3 of the 4 NA slots will go to SK, Immortals and Liquid).

i agree and i know flusha is quite a godlike player , what i've been tryin to say is exactly what you say esentially . flusha needs teammates to play with if he wants to acheive something ; olofmeister if he wants to dominate csgo scene cuz olof in my opinion is still #1 player , his overall knowledge its insane he just needs some time to "practice" his aim a lil bit to bring it back to godlike level and here you have the old olof back.

Alternate is shit, Tier 3 team that Godsent should never lose to. :| Krimz also looks lost again, he started looking better once Olof came back to Fnatic, but now he looks bad again.
