KRiMZ to fnatic, Lekr0 to GODSENT

fnatic have traded Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson for GODSENT's Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson.

Seventy days after their original trade which sent Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell, Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist, Freddy "⁠KRIMZ⁠" Johansson, and the Legends status to GODSENT, and Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson and Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson to fnatic, the two teams have completed another deal as Lekr0 and KRIMZ swapped teams.

Both fnatic and GODSENT haven't lived up to the expectations since the transaction in August. fnatic finished both of the LANs they attended—ESL One New York and EPICENTER: Moscow—5-6th while GODSENT had disappointing results at StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, Gfinity CS:GO Invitational, and WESG EU & CIS Finals.

KRIMZ is back with his LGB pals

The trade means fnatic now hold the Legends status as Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer, Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman, and KRIMZ constituted the majority of the team that reached the semi-finals at ESL One Cologne. fnatic will have a spot at the ELEAGUE Major while GODSENT will receive the EU Minor invitation fnatic had before the deal.

fnatic also revealed that they won't attend the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals taking place in São Paulo, Brazil from October 26-30, and will play with a substitute during ELEAGUE next month, as dennis is not able to participate due to personal reasons. The player to stand-in for fnatic is not yet announced.

fnatic released a statement regarding the move:

"We're happy to announce the return of Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson to the Fnatic Counter-Strike line-up. KRiMZ will be rejoining the team in place of Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson, who will be traded to Godsent. After evaluating the roster changes that took place this summer, both organisations concluded that a return of Krimz and lekr0 to their respective teams is best for the future success of both squads. wenton isnt the IGL, twist was the IGL recently. not like fnatic need any IGL really tho. u just need to randomly call one of the six following strats as fnatic IGL: scrim out A (or scrim out A late) scrim out mid (or late) scrim out B (or late) all theyve done ever since pronax left. wenton is gonna get the boot here sooner or later but i guess they wouldnt have been able to make the trade with godsent if they had only offered wenton. woulda had to pay a big buyout then and fnatic is kinda broke as an org afaik. good move for both sides tho, fnatic need stability = krimz if he can get good again, godsent needs aggro playmaker = lekr0.

M8 I would 100% disagree with that. Lekro>krimz. Krimz is a has been. He was always carried by his team mates even when fnatic was top tier. Lekro was a consistent fragger for both old godsent and new fnatic. He might not have dropped 30 bombs every game but he certainly pulled his weight. Also, twist>JW. Jw is bad lately. Twist had been god tier. Godsent would be top one with this lineup i think: Twist Znajder Lekro Flusha/olof Pronax mastermind. Or put znajder on awp and have olof and flusha and no twist.

calling krimz a has been that always got carried by his teammates LUL thats just about the most ridiculously ill-informed thing ive read all day. he hasnt been on form for quite a while now (hope that will change now) but that doesnt mean u can just discard his past achievements, which include a brief period of being the worlds best player in late 2014, being #7 (iircc) ranked player over all of 2015 and having multiple MVPs of big tournaments. not to forget his well-deserved reputation of being one of, if not the best bombsite anchors in the game. add to that incredible clutch play and positioning like hardly any other player ever in csgo. lekro is an up and coming guy, but not much more yet. dont go overboard with this top1 crap. and if ur honestly saying schneider could awp for a top team ur out of ur mind. the only thing im inclined to agree on is the jw thing. if u called him a has been i wouldnt even be mad. that guy always got overhyped.

Maybe always was the wrong word then. But late 2015 and 2016 (pretty much ever since envyus had their major win) have seen him and pretty much all of fnatic become very stale. This is why i call krimz a has been. I think they're all has beens but you can't just put together a team of new players, no matter how talented they are, and expect them to be a top team. Which is ehy you need a leader like pronax, who might not frag hard but he has the experience as igl. I think old godsent was perfect if all you did was swap wenton for anyone. Preferably an old hand like olof or flusha.

All 3 Fnatic AWP:ers (Olof, Dennis, twist) are better than Maikelele, so that seems like a bad idea. Even if you don't agree and rank Maikelele's AWP higher... to get a real IGL, some tactics and free up twist, feels more important than a little sharper AWP:er, does it not? Maybe an IGL with AWP skills? Personally, I don't think Fnatic need any more aim on any gun, but if you want to compromise. Lekro did have great pistol rounds, so that would be another area I would look at (IGL+pistol skills). 6 free rounds every game is worth a lot, which we saw when Fnatic broke the game after Dennis joined.

I think Godsent came with worse outcome than Fnatic. Let's see if fnatic come back to good form and get great results like they did in the past. Godsent on the other hand i think would have trouble getting good results with a team of rather random people.
