A new Swedish team has been formed under the name qwerty, featuring former FaZe player and NiP stand-in Maikel "Maikelele" Bill and ex CLG coach Faruk "pita" Pita.

The lineup features various talent hailing from Sweden, including Mikail "⁠Maikelele⁠" Bill, who has been teamless since he went inactive in early April following FaZe's unsuccessful journey at MLG Columbus.

He returned to activity in late August when he temporarily rejoined Ninjas in Pyjamas to stand in for Jacob "⁠pyth⁠" Mourujärvi in ESL Pro League and at several offline tournaments, including StarSeries where he helped the Swedish squad take their second title this year.

pita and Maikelele return to active duty

Joining him in qwerty is Faruk "⁠pita⁠" Pita, who coached CLG in the first half of 2016 before he stepped into the active roster for ESL One Cologne and ELEAGUE Season 1.

The remaining three members are former fnatic player John "⁠wenton⁠" Eriksson, ex-Escape's Fredrik "⁠slap⁠" Junbrant, and Simon "⁠atter⁠" Atterstam, best known for his time in Torpedo.

"I am happy to finally announce our new lineup. We actually began working on this project in July this summer, but the work was put on hold due to both me and Maikelele taking part in different endeavors with the two Swedish giants Fnatic and NiP." John "wenton" Eriksson told HLTV.org

"As of early November this project is resumed – and the feeling within the team is better than ever before. We have a great mix of individuals with different skill sets, as well as a great work ethic – the latter being something that I think is especially hard to come by these days. With pita taking on the leader-role within the team I’m certain that Sweden can bring another top contending team into the scene."

How long back in cs history does Atter go? I remember a Atterman way way back around 1.3 - 1.5 playing for SoA(Spirit of amiga) from what i remember, but it could also been another team that showed potential internationally. That damn memory.. On topic: Best of luck to this lineup. If the work and dedication is there i don't see why this team can't make an impact or atleast create a talented team of players that orgs like Nip and Fnatic could be interested in as some point in the future.

At first eyesight, this isn't a top team, even by a longshot. Still, with wenton and maikelele, you have a foundation to build on. I'd say if GODSENT/NiP/Epsilon makes swaps, some of the better players might want a new challenge, and then this team could bring in better names and players. This team is decent. They have the roles filled pretty well, Slap will just need to play nutty every game to make up for bot pita. Probably will peak at top 20-15 teams and then go back down to 30ish
