G2 qualify for StarSeries Season 3

G2 have qualified for SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 after dominating the bracket stage of the European qualifier.

As an invited side, G2 skipped the groups and competed for one of the three spots at SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 on offer in the European qualifier.

The new French squad didn't drop a single map on their way to securing a place at the $300,000 event, defeating PRIDE, Space Soldiers, and compatriots Envy in the playoffs.

G2 will make their debut at StarSeries

The Kiev event will be G2's first offline appearance since the team came together in early February, when Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon, Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro and Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux joined up with EnVyUs' trio, Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt, Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire, and Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub.

With the Frenchmen joining the list of teams at StarSeries, it now looks as follows:

fnatic and HellRaisers will lock horns for another spot with the loser facing Envy in the deciding match, while Renegades and CLG are scheduled to face off on March 20th in the North American qualifier.

SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 is set to take place in Kiev at the National Palace of Arts "Ukraina" from April 4-9.

nv threw like 5 match winning rounds on that nuke map sorta excited to see g2 at lan decent chances they do better at lan than online so they might be able to upset some good teams hope nv still make it id love to see this nv team play too

Nah dude, I didn't know there is a nother match between the losers. I only thought 1st and 2nd go to the LAN Finals, had no idea that 3rd place goes to the finals aswel thats why. All good rn as EnVy still got chance :s
