Cloud9 defeat BIG in Bucharest

Starting out on the Counter-Terrorist side, BIG drew first blood with a convincing pistol round, with Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget getting two kills in the drop room before Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz pulled off three one-tap headshots in a matter of seconds.

The Germans were unable to follow that up, however, as Cloud9 hit back on a force-buy with an A split. A scrappy period of play ensued as rounds went back and forth, which ultimately hurt BIG's economy. Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik still called a timeout at 6-3 in an attempt to halt Cloud9's momentum, but without success as the North Americans did not take their foot off the pedal and won the remaining rounds of the half.

BIG got off to a great start to their Terrorist side, winning the first five rounds to bring the deficit to 8-12. The next full gun round then went Cloud9's way, with BIG hitting back in the next round, resetting the North Americans' economy.

It was expected that the German team would take this chance to build up their bank and further close the gap, but a massive blunder from them allowed Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham to clutch a 1v4 situation.

After calling a timeout, BIG got another round on the board, but Cloud9 quickly regained control of proceedings and secured two rounds in a row to lock down the map at 16-10.
