BIG edge out SK; secure playoff spot

BIG went 3-0 in the PGL Major Krakow group stage by picking up wins against three teams ranked in the top 5: FaZe, Cloud9 and now SK. With that, the German organization has earned a playoff spot in their first Major apperance.

With a pistol round and the following rounds BIG set themselves up for a good start on the Terrorist side of Inferno, but rounds went the way of SK when the guns rolled in, with the strong A site hold earning the Brazilians mutliple rounds.

Wrapping B through CT earned BIG another Terrorist round, but no momentum could be built as Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David locked down the Germans arch play on his own, acing his opposition with the AWP. Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik wasn't able to clutch a 1v2 in round 13 and SK closed out the half 10-5 up.

gob b and co. surprised many by going 3-0 at the Major

BIG picked up the second pistol as well and managed to avoid an anti-eco blunder in the second round of the half Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget and gob b managed a 2v4 retake of the B site. The gun rounds then went the way of the German side and they managed to shortly take the lead, but an A push in which Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo picked up three kills with the AK47 got SK their first T side round.

The following round was crucial, and it once again finished up on the A site, as the trades on the entry lead to FalleN and Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz being in a 1v1 situation. The clutch was resolved by the German player, but there was no followup as a B stack didn't work out for his side in round 24.

From 14-12 down, BIG managed to tie the game at 14-14 with lock down holds, and they fended off the B rush to get to match point as well. In the last round, SK took control of mid, but BIG shut them down on the arch wrap to win the game 16-14, go 3-0 in the groups and secure a playoffs spot.

Nice job from BIG to upset SK Gaming, the Brazilian favorites of the major in this third Swiss Round. Nobody would've expected BIG to perform this well. Making the playoffs with a clean 3-0 record, defeating FaZe Clan, Cloud9, and SK Gaming is a huge feat, especially for the German underdog team. This match was very close, as it came down to the 30th round in order to decide a victor. Congratulations to BIG, the second team to earn a playoffs spot at PGL Major Krakow 2017.

Actually, you can't really control muscle memory, unless you purposely force it down, in which case stress starts to take its toll, and you'll just end up forgetting for a second or two. It's like asking someone who's been crouching when spraying to stop doing it. You can't force him to stop within 1 day - you need to let him get used to spraying without crouching, and sometimes unbind his crouch key.

NiP on cache, BIG on inferno. I can't understand those teams' obstinacy - why to still not ban it when everybody saw them being strong on it? Btw, another easy major for SK. FaZe are out, Astralis are not strong enough, the others are even weaker than that. No competition at all. Don't even talk about Gambit, they won 3 bo1 and nothing more. And I doubt BIG can play anything else but inferno. But gratz to them anyway.

Did you see the prize pool for Dota 2 International 2017? Valve are making much more money on Dota 2 than CSGO. All these problems in PGL, they don't give a fuck. I watched the game for example tabsen missed a double kill which gave easy entry for sk and that ace from cold ? How Big couldnt kill him is a mystery to me and obviously Sk choked that happens when you play against gob b and most importantly sk didnt check corners or re frag that is just bad teamplay and its not missing shots so again read what i wrote and then try to correct me

totally deserved! as for the bug, teams have being using it, here or there. and apparently the agreement was about avoiding abusing it rather than not using it which means you don't exploit it for unfair frags which also means that teams will still be using it.

they have only used it twice so not much of a BIG deal. don't know why people are crying about it, it was very good and fair game.
