coldzera weighs up MIBR future - Report

MIBR star Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David is currently looking into the possibility of leaving the team after the FACEIT Major, according to a report by Flickshot.fr.

The 23-year-old is reportedly considering a new challenge as a result of differences with Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo and Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga about how the team should be run.

The story comes just hours after DBLTAP reported that MIBR are currently locked in talks with Cloud9 member Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik to replace Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass, with the Brazilian team believed to be "in disarray" following the group stage exit at ESL One Cologne.

coldzera is reportedly unhappy in the team

coldzera has been part of the team for three years now, having been recruited in July 2015, when FalleN's side still represented Luminosity. He was named the best player in the world in both 2016 and 2017, and has eight MVP medals to his name, two of them from the Majors that he helped the team to win.

According to Flickshot, coldzera is currently leaning towards a move to Liquid, in which he would reunite with compatriot Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo, who left SK in April to join the North American team.

The biggest thing standing in the way of coldzera's transfer to another team at the moment is the massive release clause in the player's contract with Immortals, for whom he signed only last month after almost two years on SK's ranks.

Contacted by HLTV.org, Immortals declined to comment on the report.

c9 isnt really terrible at all and tbh c9 > mibr, from past experiences. If cold joins c9 we would have 2 igls on c9. I.E if Tarik doesnt want to fill the igl role for a map cold can igl for the map and vice versa and occasionally autimatic can offer some igl assistance throughout the maps. It's not a bad idea really..

Sometimes it is better to join not a event, if you haven't prepared the best solution for a lineup. Now MIBR have a really bad history in CSGO. I would never came on the idea to use a foreign player if it still doesn't work, alone by the communication. Some teams didn't have problems with it, like FaZe (best example). This new mixed lineups just new in Esports. In CS 1.6 or CS:Source that didn't have even exist. Self the ESL Pro Series have a rule, to use maximal 2 foreign players for the tournaments. In my eyes it is even better to use 5 players from the same country - it is also better to connect; to goint on net cafes/bootcamping, ect. But to be honest in some countries, that is not possible, because of the availability of enought good players, like Slovakia and Czech - you will not find even one team with same country, it is hilarious. If a organization can pay you a living that would be a exception, e.g. like living in a team house (TeG was the first team with a team house), so you all together. I do not can realized why such teams prefer to be mixed. Some mixed teams are stronger like NaVi or pro100 but these players must be feeling so alone, if he they only one in the team.
