NBK: "No specific plans; G2 has received offers from Europe & NA"

Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt has spoken out about his current situation and the offers he has received since being ousted from G2's active line-up.

The 24-year-old is currently assessing his options after being left out of G2's roster as the organisation decided to hand the keys to the team over to Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon, who kept just two players from the team and reunited with Kévin "⁠Ex6TenZ⁠" Droolans and Edouard "⁠SmithZz⁠" Dubourdeaux.

In a Twitlonger post released shortly after the news was made public, the two-time Major champion revealed that he wanted to try his luck in an international team, admitting that he was "in need of fresh air."

And in a lengthy interview conducted by Aleksei "⁠OverDrive⁠" Birukov, NBK- has now said that, while he has received offers from both Europe and North America, he still does not know what the future holds for him. The Frenchman has also commented on several other topics, including winning his first Major with LDLC, his removal from G2 and his dream team.

What happened at the last Major?

We weren't in the best mental shape. We realized that our line-up would not last much longer and that we’ll shuffle soon. We played with that feeling. But it wasn’t like we were talking about it 24/7, we just realized that only after the Major. It was the feeling that everything bad followed us through the event, it’s hard to explain it exactly. Nevertheless, everyone was highly motivated and tried their best. We did a good job; we made it to the playoffs and lost to the future champions.

So, then you had a big shuffle in G2. Can you tell me why shox didn't want to play with you and apEX?

ApEX didn’t suit the team that shox wanted because of his play style. He is very aggressive, he wants to be a co-leader and shox wanted SmithZz for that role with Ex6TenZ as a leader. As far as I am concerned, it’s more about non-game aspects. In his opinion, I don’t suit this line-up’s mentality.

Tell me about your plans regarding your future, what offers do you have for now?

I'm currently benched in G2, and I don’t have any specific plans. The organization had some offers concerning me. There were requests from Europe and NA. Right now, I’m just trying to keep my skill on a good level by playing FPL & DM.

JW atleast is kinda good Pronax might be a good igl but skillwise is trash (atleast on this level) but the fact that a player like Devilwalk who isn't even playing for years has more majors than s1mple and Niko combined is kinda funny ;) I hope for either Astralis or NaVi winning the Faceit Major tho (Astralis in first place ofc as my flair checks out =D)

NA and EU likewise seem to have a real hunger for competing at the lower levels. The most two-faced guy I have ever witnessed. He didn't trust shox project because of Ex6tenZ -> Now he is saying that his dreamteam would be with Ex6tenZ.
