ESL Pro League Season 8 North America concluded, finalists found

The eighth season of ESL Pro League North America has come to an end, with Renegades and INTZ claiming to two final spots at the finals in Odense, Denmark.

A total of twelve teams in North America battled through the six week-long tournament while juggling busy schedules, but, in the end, only six teams would make their way through at the Finals in the Danish city, which hosts the Finals for the second time.

Leading the North American pack, MIBR surged through the season with 55 points, with Ghost, Liquid, Renegades and NRG booking their place to the finals before the end of the season.

MIBR topped the league in fashion

On the last day with league play, INTZ rounded out the top six teams to make their way to the Finals by taking one map from Rogue in their final matchup and edging past eUnited in the table by round difference. Cloud9 were also in the running for the final spot, but couldn't reach the points needed after losing one of their two last maps against NRG.

At the bottom of the table, INTZ's compatriots in Luminosity will be automatically relegated from the league after losing their two final maps against eUnited, as the second-to-last finishers Envy narrowly overtook the Brazilians by beating Renegades 2-0, the Australians playing from their home country while already qualified for the Finals. In the same vain, Noah "⁠Nifty⁠" Francis' troops also took two maps from Cloud9 in early November, when Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim and co. were in Europe to play BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen.

Envy and Rogue will now have to play relegation matches to secure their place in the ninth season of the online League.

The final standings of the ESL Pro League Season 8 North American division looks as follows:

The NA region is an ankor region every other region. Once you are good enough to top your region, you can leave the region and play in NA. Else NA would be dead in the park. Maybe valve should adept and force all teams to play where they have long term residency in the minor process.

C9 had to play 2 games while they were in Denmark against nV (WHO DONT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO THAN EPL) How come teams couldn't postpone games , same shit with Astralis / LDLC and Renegades

Because these teams were traveling right again and you are only allowed to postpone x amount of games. The 14th of November is also a day, where all teams have to show up to play their last game.
