The Quest, Mythic secure final spots in Americas Minor NA closed qualifier

The Quest and Mythic claimed the final spots in the North American closed qualifier for the Americas Minor after placing top two in the fourth open bracket.

After finishing just shy of qualification in the previous three qualifiers - the last of which had seen the team forfeit their semi-final match due to a power outage -, The Quest hardly needed to break a sweat in the final bracket to grab the highly-coveted spot in the closed stage. Jack "⁠xCeeD⁠" Holiman's troops cruised through their side of the bracket, sealing qualification with a 2-0 victory over Rugratz in a one-sided series.

Mythic reached the semi-final stages with confidence running high after dispatching Glizzy Gang and SODMG, but they were properly tested in the best-of-three series. Hysteria took the lead with an overtime victory on Overpass before Todd "⁠anger⁠" Williams's side turned the match around with strong all-round displays on Dust2 and Inferno.

Fourth time was the charm for The Quest in the open qualifiers

The eight qualified teams will join eight invitees in the closed qualifier, scheduled for June 12-14. The top six sides of this best-of-three, double-elimination bracket will progress to the Americas Minor, in Berlin, where they will be joined by the leading sides of the South American closed qualifier, which is already underway.
