fnatic have received a direct invite to participate at EPICENTER 2019, the tournament organiser has revealed.

The Swedish squad have secured the fifth and final invite to the $500,000 competition, with the final three spots going to the winners of the European, CIS and Chinese closed qualifiers.

fnatic came close to building on their DreamHack Masters Malmö trophy last weekend at StarSeries i-League Season 8 but fell short against Evil Geniuses in the grand final. The team will return to action this Monday in the final week of ECS Season 8 Europe, taking on BIG in the quarter-finals.

fnatic will contend for the EPICENTER title in Moscow, Russia

EPICENTER 2019 will take place at the Crocus Hall Expo in Moscow, Russia, from December 17-22. Eight participants will be present at the tournament, with details regarding the group stage and playoff format still undisclosed.

Man vitality fucking sucks. They can hit teams like the lightning in a single map or so. But when they play tier1 opponents they have 0 chance, they win 1map because zywho drops 30+ and shox plays average. But all and all teams like fnatic, liquid, astralis and EG tend to just counter-strat them too hard for zywho to shine

Yeah, I think EG managed to tilt fnatic too hard in last final and fnatic will give their all if they play again. It's hard to play vs kids who never won anything and that get excited, screaming and shit after 1 round won. Fnatic won too much and JW, flusha and krimz are too old to taunt their opponents outside the game.

Blast finals are in Bahrain only few days before this event so I guess that is the reason why these teams decided to start their christmas holidays early rather than go to this event.
