mantuu set to join OG - Report

OG have struck a deal with ALTERNATE aTTaX to sign Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski for their soon-to-be-announced team, according to a report by 1pv.fr.

The 22-year-old will take up the AWP role in the European team after the proposed signing of SJ star Elias "⁠Jamppi⁠" Olkkonen fell through, reportedly due to the Finnish player's ties to an old Steam account with a VAC ban.

mantuu emerged as a target after OG failed in their efforts to sign Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev, who ended up being lured by Complexity.

mantuu reportedly poised to join OG

This will be by far the biggest challenge of mantuu's career. The British talent has spent the last three years playing under German organisations PANTHERS and ALTERNATE aTTaX, averaging an impressive 1.22 rating on LAN. In that time, he has won several trophies, including three ESL Meisterschaft titles and the Esportal Global Finals crown.

This will be OG's first-ever venture into Counter-Strike, with the organisation boasting the only Dota 2 team to have won The International twice, in 2018 and 2019, as well as Super Smash Bros Melee player James "Swedish Delight" Liu.

OG's reported lineup will feature:

There is a shit load of American/NA people having Swedish/Scandinavian names just "remade". Youre right, but the question marks im speaking about are their raw skill levels, as far as i know mantuu isnt quite up there with jamppi or even poizon and issaa has had his changes to prove himself already. Not saying these arent good players tho, just wouldnt see it as a potential top3 lineup like i saw the one originally rumoured.

His entire family is polish, he was born in Poland, his parents speaks polish to him, he speaks polish to his family, he says he is polish. He just lived that much time in a forgein country, that he is british citizen now, just like tudson ( who too says that he is polish). Flag on hltv means shit, coz they are probably taking it from faceit, where for e.g tudson changed his flag to polish manually ( thats why he has polish flag on hltv) and mantuu just doesn't care and have british flag coz he lives in the UK and has UK IP.
