meyern: "We give our all in hopes that in the future we can be better players than we are now"
In an interview with Ignacio "meyern" Meyer after Sharks' elimination in Odense we learned about his time on the team so far and the recent results at the ECS and Pro League Finals.
Sharks left Odense with a last-place finish after losing to G2 and Renegades in Group B. This was the final tournament of the year for the Latin American team after they decided to skip QI Banja Luka in what is understood to be the result of MIBR's reported interest in meyern.

In the media day after Sharks' elimination, we sat down with the Argentinian youngster, who contrasted Isurus with his current squad, gave his evaluation of both his individual performance and that of his team and spoke on previously-mentioned issues with consistency and whether they have improved in recent times.
You've been part of Sharks since September. How have you found playing alongside the team?
It has been a very good time for me, I've been learning so much from them. They're great people and young players with a lot ahead of them. I've been very happy with our performances and I'm focused on what's ahead.
What would you describe as the main differences when comparing Isurus and Sharks?
The main difference between Isurus and Sharks is in the type of players the two teams have. We had players with more experience and more time playing the game in Isurus, while Sharks are younger and have more hunger to go out, play, and win as much as they can.
In the last two weeks you played at two really large events, the ECS Season 8 Finals and now the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. How does this contrast with the usual for the team?
There's a huge difference, we're playing teams that have a lot of experience and so many tournaments under their belts. It's different playing online and on LAN, you live it in a completely different way, and teams with experience play so much better on LAN.
What have the expectations been with Sharks since you joined?
We're always trying to learn and get more experience. We're not used to these tournaments, so we try to give our all in hopes that in the future we can be better players than we are now. We're working to not just be underdogs, but a team that can play and win against bigger teams.
Consistency is a topic that has been talked about in past interviews. How has it been since? Have you managed to improve on it?
Yeah, we're more consistent now. I think that we've been able to even surpass our own expectations recently and we've had good results. I think we have a chance to beat anyone right now.
Talking about the performance here in Odense, what's the general takeaway? The first match against G2 was quite close and the second series against Renegades didn't go so well, but your Dust2 was quite impressive. How did the team look at the results and what do you think of them?
We think they were good results because these were the first LAN tournaments with this team and we knew we were going to have to give our all just to be comfortable. We were hoping we could do more against Renegades, but little errors kept us from closing it out. As I said before, experience is also something that has a lot of weight and we needed more of it, but, considering these were our first tournaments, I think they went well overall.
You've been very impressive recently, but you had a rating under 1 at both the ECS and EPL finals, would you say nervousness played a part in your performances?
I don't think so. I know it wasn't the best individual showing, perhaps, but I focused on being part of the team—and while it didn't go my way individually, we played quite decently as a team. As far as our results go, I don't think they would have changed depending on my performance. Good individual performances will come in the future, but what always matters most is focusing on the team and to keep moving forward.
Any comments on the reports about MIBR showing interest in you?
