guerri to fill in for HEN1 at cs_summit 5

FURIA have announced that coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira will act as a stand-in at cs_summit 5, replacing Henrique "HEN1" Teles.

The Brazilian AWPer will sit out the tournament as he is currently in his homeland renewing his US visa after joining FURIA from Luminosity in September. He will join up with the rest of the squad for their last event of the year, the Champions Cup Finals, in Malta, from December 19-22, HLTV.org has confirmed.

This is the second time that guerri has to stand in for the Brazilian team this year. In July, he played in Dallas as then team member Rinaldo "ableJ" Moda Junior was dealing with visa issues, helping the squad to win the ESEA Season 31 Global Challenge and to qualify for the ESL Pro League after beating Singularity in the MDL Finals.

guerri will replace HEN1 in Los Angeles

HEN1's absence comes as a heavy blow for FURIA, with the AWPer having averaged a 1.16 rating for the team on LAN since his arrival. He was amongst the Exceptionally Valuable Players (EVP) of StarSeries i-League Season 8 after playing a crucial role in the team's third-place finish.

cs_summit 5 will take place in Los Angeles from December 12-15, with $150,000 on the line. In their first match in the best-of-two round-robin stage, FURIA will be taking on Virtus.pro.

FURIA will attend the North American event with:

Brazil Andrei "arT" Piovezan
Brazil Yuri "yuurih" Santos
Brazil Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato
Brazil Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo
Brazil Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira (stand-in)

Yes , it's almost 2020 and esports pros still have issues for visa in the US and I still don't know why so there should be very less no. Of tournament held there

there isn’t even a ‘problem,’ he is getting a renewal, which takes time why he did it now and not earlier, I have no idea

Only the US has these problems because of xenophobic people worrying about Mexicans and walls. You don’t need to go through as many steps to get your visa approved for other countries. There’s no extra protection against giving visas to the wrong people, it just takes longer. It’s like the TSA at airports just being “security theatre” they don’t actually do anything, they just act very strict to make people think they’re safe. Terrorist attacks foiled by the TSA in 18 years... 0

OF course it is US problem. The rate of ppl with those issues are like 1 of 50 on the rest of world, and at USA it is like 2 of 10

Then who's problem is it?

His teammates made it just fine. it's just that Hen1 and the org put off renewing for some reason i don't have a clue on and now he is to late. its a fairly simple process but laziness or being brain dead will absolutely delay the process. 30 foreign players received invites to summit and only 2 won't be making it. its not a US problem it's a Woxic and Hen1 problem.

Actually, it is normal, since the US requires VISA, it lasts for 10 years, IF the player keep in the same organition, if he change the team he need to renew it

That organisations potentially miss out on hundreds of thousands of dollars in price money due to visa issues should not be a problem in 2019. Such amateurs.
