Quartet finalize DreamHack Masters Spring NA closed qualifier team list

Triumph, New England Whalers, Recon 5, and Monstars have emerged victorious from the North American open qualifier for DreamHack Masters Spring to earn spots in the closed stage.

The four teams join Cloud9, Envy, Bad News Bears, and Swole Patrol on the team list for the closed qualifier, which will utilize a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket to determine the top two sides who will advance to the North American division of DreamHack Masters Spring.

Alan "⁠Shakezullah⁠" Hardeman's new-look Triumph lineup were the most noteworthy name among the open qualifier competitors, debuting with Rahul "⁠curry⁠" Nemani and Paytyn "⁠junior⁠" Johnson on Thursday to kick off their bracket run. One-sided victories in Triumph's first two matchups gave way to a close Inferno bout against ETHEREAL on day two, but the team made up for a slow start on their opponent's map pick by dominating on Nuke to take the series.

Shakezullah's newest recruits led the way for Triumph

New England Whalers and Recon 5 were the next two teams to qualify after they made short work of Orion and blood, sweat, and tears, respectively, while Monstars edged out a win over PDHM in the only series to go to all three maps to secure the final spot in the closed stage.
