dennis to stand in for Apeks in Elisa Invitational

Apeks have added Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman to their lineup for the short term, as he will fill in for Haakon "⁠Radifaction⁠" Tholo in the upcoming Elisa Invitational.

The Norwegian team announced the benching of Radifaction on Monday, citing unsatisfactory results over an eight-month period, and originally revealed that they would be fielding their coach Pål "⁠Polly⁠" Kammen as a stand-in until they find a long-term replacement. However, it has now been announced that dennis would be joining the squad for the upcoming competition.

dennis will fight for a BLAST Showdown spot with Apeks

The 29-year-old Swede had been a free agent since GamerLegion disbanded in March, and stated that he will be "just as good as before, if not better" when he gets a chance on a team.

The Elisa Invitational will feature squads such as GODSENT, ENCE, and North, and will take place online on April 30 - May 3. The two best teams from the eight-team competition will earn a spot at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

Apeks will field the following roster in the Elisa Invitational:

It has great to best Vitality since we Lost to you guys two times in a row now when we were about to get some momentum going. Zywoo is a beast though and Vitality Will bounce back soon!

Ok? One round in a pointless Norwegian league match doesn't mean he is good enough to play at a higher level. I hope they prove me wrong but I don't see them being in the top 50 consistently with this roster.

Didnt Apeks beat GamerLegion a couple of times times already? Can`t see this as a big step down for him. Kudos to him for just wanting to stay active and play - Thats probably the best way to get back to the level he once was. Apeks are sometimes pretty good and sometimes complete dogshit. If they can sort out their inconsistency issues they will be a decent team I believe.

An interview done in Norwegian he said the benching was fair and he lacked motivation. Wished his team mates all the best also. Good guy and hope he finds back to the game. He is benched and under contract so everything is possible.

hampus is a good IGL so that was why I wanted him so badly. He is actually too skilled for being an IGL but he is still a competent one and the second best IGL Sweden has to offer.

Yes, not many. Im not interested in ranking them though so ill leave that to you. Would only point out that hampus is a great lurker and thats where you put him if you want him at his best. Always possible to steal rubino though and given how great norweigans are at speaking and understanding swedish i dont se any problem with it. This is response to both.

Yes I would like to see a mix of old GL and nordavind. I think they could make top 20 if they choose the correct players from both teams. The best possible team (according to me) would be: Draken Main awp (starplayer) Hampus Lurker (starplayer) Dennis entry/support Rubino IGL Tenzki supportive roleplayer (if tenzki and the swedes can understand each other. Some do others* do not). If tenzki is not option I would take rusty as he is a decent support or maybe even tabz.

With tenzki it would be english for sure because danes and swedes do not understand eachother. Grux would be another good option. Him and dennis would make a dangerous entry duo.

Some understand each other like moddii and friberg were both in heroic and understood the danes. Most people however do not understand each other but you can with practice.

Well, yes technically but actually no. Moddii lives in denmark and has been living there for a long time, he speaks danish fluently. And friberg was learning danish for when he joined heroic so that he could understand them somewhat but he was speaking english to them.

Look I am Swedish and me and my brother has vacationed a lot in denmark (I have some family there aswell) he understands Danish really well and I sort of get it. It depends a lot on the accents, I do not think you should speak for everyone in respective countries.

Well actually, you were the one speaking for other people (moddii and friberg, wich you were wrong about). I was speaking generally and its true. You can try putting 10 swedes and 10 danes together and have them speak their native language to eachother and se how far they will come in conversation.. I dont respond past this so if you are dissatisfied then you will have to live with it.

Hopefully Hampus either joins a new team with dennis and draken or joins NiP as a replacement for either lekro or twist (id go with twist) so NiP gets a better IGL.
