MIBR confirm deal for trk

MIBR have completed the signing of Alencar "⁠trk⁠" Rossato from TeamOne, the Brazilian giants announced on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old joins the team as a replacement for Ignacio "⁠meyern⁠" Meyer, who has been moved to the bench just six months into his contract with MIBR.

The move came after the Argentinian player failed to reproduce the same form that he had displayed in a breakout year of 2019 with Isurus and Sharks. He averaged just a 0.97 rating for MIBR and became the target of heavy criticism, especially after the team's dramatic defeat to MAD Lions in the grand final of Flashpoint 1.

MIBR return to a full Brazilian lineup

MIBR are hoping to get back on the right track with the signing of a player who had long been on captain Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's radar. In 2018, the year he helped TeamOne to a surprise semi-final run at the WESG Finals, trk was courted by Brazil's then best teams, SK and Immortals, but a transfer failed to materialise because of the price tag set by TeamOne.

The player change will see MIBR lose 20 percent of the 1130 RMR points that the team had amassed so far. The Brazilian team had already lost 120 points of the 300 points that they had won from the StarLadder Major after retaining just three players from the lineup that competed in Berlin.

trk will make his first official appearance for MIBR in DreamHack Masters Spring, kicking off this Tuesday. They have been placed in a stacked Group A that includes Brazilian rival FURIA and world No.6 Liquid.

With this move, MIBR now have:

Correction: An earlier version of the article incorrectly stated that the team had lost 20 percent of the points won during ESL One Road to Rio as a result of this change. MIBR lost 20 percent of the 1130 RMR points they had accumulated since the start. This figure already had the 40 percent penalty from the post-Major changes factored in.

Agreed. ART is nowhere close to fallen when it comes to skill but he's miles ahead of him as an IGL. Fallen still uses the same strats from LG years (2015 anyone?), while ART is really innovative and plays really aggressively always sacrificing his game for a bigger purpose. His HLTV interview is pretty good, he knows the game a lot and thinks deeply about the way he IGLs. Yes, KSCERATO and yuriih are the stars skill wise on Furia but to say ART is easily replaceable like the morons above you are saying is nonsense. A furia/mibr super team at the moment would have ART as an igl, fallen awp, yurii, fer and kscerato as riflers.

I think fallen is amazing as an awper, but i have the feeling that he would never leave behind the IGL "aura".. I think that have fallen in a team that he would not be the IGL is bad for the team, because deep down he allways gonna have an active voice because of his name. So maybe HEN1 or Kng would be a better fit in this lineup.
