IEM New York North America team list set

The 12 teams that will compete in the upcoming IEM New York North America RMR tournament are determined.

The top teams in the North American Regional Major Ranking were invited directly to IEM New York North America, the third and final RMR tournament in the region that will kick off on October 6 with RMR points and $60,000 on the line. Joining the top contenders are four teams that made their way through online qualifiers.

EG lead the RMR ranking ahead of IEM New York North America

The North American RMR ranking is led by Evil Geniuses (3550 points), followed closely by Gen.G (3475) and 100 Thieves (3325). Liquid (2920) dropped down to fourth in the region's table after losing 730 points as a result of a roster changes, and are now just 20 points inside the qualification zone, which has FURIA knocking at the door. The DreamHack Open Summer winners are 25 points behind fifth-placed side Cloud9, while it will take MIBR almost a miracle to finish inside the top five as they currently have just 2091.5 points.

Four teams were invited to the eight-team closed qualifier for IEM New York North America, Ze Pug Godz, TeamOne, Yeah and New England Whalers, and all of them made it through to the Fall RMR tournament, taking out the four teams that had made it through the open stages.

The IEM New York North America team list is:

Big were known to be good online but when a lan event came around they would get crushed. Hence the name “onliners”

If you have never played at a lan/lan center then You wouldn’t know it’s quite the difference in feel and flow of the game than online

liquid had more points with nitr0. they held a legend spot prior to replacing him with grim. these are just the settings prior to the tournament. once its over. the new points to each team will re-seed them accordingly

Kinda hilarious that NA Valorant teams (TSM, GenG, Sentinels, FaZe, 100T, C9 etc) are so much more exciting to follow and watch than NA CS scene.
