Flashpoint 2 groups and opening matchups announced

The second season of the $1,000,000 tournament is just days away and we have learned how the teams determined the group distribution through a selection process.

B Site revealed the group distribution for Flashpoint 2 on Friday, four days ahead of the kick-off of the nearly month-long tournament, which will take place from November 10 through December 6.

The groups were determined by the teams themselves in the same fashion as in the first season. The first phase of the selection saw teams pick their group opponents before the three last-picked sides got the opportunity to suggest a one-time swap of any two teams at the end.

fnatic, c0ntact, Dignitas, and MAD Lions make up an almost Nordic-exclusive Group A

The selection process resulted in a group that is made up almost exclusively of Nordic players, with fnatic, c0ntact, Dignitas, and MAD Lions set to compete in Group A. The more varied Group B features BIG, MIBR, Envy, and FORZE, while Group C will see OG take on Gen.G, Cloud9, and the red-hot Virtus.pro.

The group stage will be played in a GSL, best-of-three format. The top-two teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs, while the third-placed sides and one of the fourth-placed teams will get another chance to qualify for the bracket phase through the last-chance stage.

Thomas was super good on Endpoint and seems to fit in rolewise, MICHU and Calyx basically hard carried them through RTR NA where they placed 5th, hltv.org/stats/players?event=5279. Nifty is an okay awper and a subpar caller but should be fine, LEGIJA is the very obvious weakspot and will most likely shit the bed, but I do expect at least put up some sort of fight

I'd say no they have ok pieces like Thomas, Calyx and MICHU but those are not players who are gonna make your team super good but this is flashpoint so maybe they have a chance to do something
