flusha steps down from fnatic active roster

The legendary member of the organization is out of the lineup as they look to refresh the team for 2021.

Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist has been moved out of fnatic's active lineup and is currently an inactive player, the organization has announced on Friday. This ends the player's third, 15-month long stint in fnatic, which started in September of 2019 and saw the Swedish team win DreamHack Masters Malmö, ESL Pro League Season 11 Europe, and shortly take the #1 place in the world rankings.

"flusha dropping to our inactive roster opens up a place on our active roster that we will use to rejuvenate our team for the 2021 season," the team's coach Andreas "⁠Samuelsson⁠" Samuelsson said in a statement, hinting at flusha's replacement being announced soon.

"Looking to the future of Fnatic CS:GO we've had to make some tough decisions about our roster and our legendary players," the coach added. "Robin is an amazingly talented player and I'm sure he will find a place in a top tier team very quickly". During the latest stint in the team, flusha averaged a 1.04 rating, albeit showing a consistent level against the best with a 1.02 rating against top 5 opposition.

According to a report by DBLTAP, the 21-year-old AWPer Jack "⁠Jackinho⁠" Ström Mattsson is expected to take flusha's spot, which would likely result in Jesper "⁠JW⁠" Wecksell changing his role once again.

The same report mentions that the three-time Major winner and Major MVP flusha is exploring the option to link up with Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta, who he played with during his time in Cloud9, and Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi. All three players are currently out of their team's active lineups and transfer-listed.

flusha staying on fnatic as a sixth player doesn't seem to be an option for the team. On a recent HLTV Confirmed podcast with Maikil "⁠Golden⁠" Selim, after mentioning Jackinho as a Swedish prospect, the in-game leader explained that a six-man roster wouldn't work with the chemistry of their team.

It's a qualified guess considering the fact that there were reports of Flusha, Sunny and Autimatic wanting to create a team together prior to Flusha's official leave from Fnatic. Wtf are you talking about since 2015 we had 2 awp nerfs and not a single riffle nerf. If anything awping is much harder than ever before. You could move with zoomed awp almost like with scout. One change that happened to riffles was considered buff, since it drastically improved first few bullets accuracy for slightly worse spray control.
