The Danish in-game leader completes FaZe's roster ahead of IEM Katowice.

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen has joined FaZe, the organization has announced on Monday, finalizing the long-speculated move and completing the European roster following Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer's departure.

The Dane returns to the team he led from 2016-2018 and helped reach the world's #1 rank, winning seven big events in the process.

karrigan is back in FaZe

With this move, karrigan will reunite with Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard, the only player left from the FaZe team he was in charge of for two years, as well as Robert "⁠RobbaN⁠" Dahlström, who is expected to return to the coaching position upon the expiry of his ESIC-issued ban.

karrigan will have his debut shortly, in IEM Katowice 2021, where FaZe are one of the eight teams who have ensured a spot in the main part of the tournament. The European squad has shown promise in their first tournament with Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken, placing second in their BLAST Premier Spring Group, and will be hoping to continue with that momentum moving forward.

I was watching the trio of Xyp9x, Device and Dupreeh since the TSM days with karrigan and cajunb. Every major they were in I just wanted them to win. I acnt expres my feelings when I was watching Atlanta major.... zonic and other players in tears... They are inconsistent buuuuut.... we had this conversation last major in 2019 (long time i know right), nobody was entirely sure, if astralis still have it in themselves, but yet they won. My point is that Astralis will most likely prepare mainly fot Stockholm major, new strats, maybe we will see mirage as an ace in their sleeves, but who really knows right. Still not sure about how will xyp9x perform, it seems that he found the momentum but idk, the after-break astralis just seems, different.

FaZe was really the best team in the world only in couple of months in the second half of 2017. Then they started choking in finals (vs NiP on IEM Oakland, vs SK on ESL Pro League, vs Cloud9 on ELEAGUE Major, vs Fnatic on IEM Katowice and many other chokes). Yeah, they also won some tournaments in 2018 and 2019 but anyway they weren't dominating, it was during the Astralis era.

What? Faze got 7 rounds in t side vs navi first time round. Sometimes when s1mple electronic and perfecto goes off with boombla getting 2 lucky defuses both times faze were supposed to win, it goes like that. Astralis and mouse both have gotten rekt vs navi ct nuke. Cold did really good as an IGL tbh. But karrigan is obviously better

I agree that Na'Vi looks strong, but people called Vitality the #1 team 2 months ago and where are they now? You can't really compare, Astralis for example has lost 2 times to big, 1 time to NIP and 1 time to Na'Vi in the last couple of months. Teams that Na'Vi haven't played against in quite a long time, while all the teams that both Astralis and Na'Vi have played against, has been the same performance with wins to both teams. Last time Na'Vi and Astralis played, Na'Vi rekted Astralis completely - But the match before, Astralis rekted Na'Vi... If anything it's a 45/55 Astralis/Na'Vi, while sadly Vitality seems to be falling a bit behind

They played bad with him?? Karrigan had brought the greatest CSGO time that Faze ever had. Karrigan is the best Tier 1 IGL for full international teams. Guardian literally cried when he told the story of how they kicked karrigan, cuz he regrets everything he did in this time. Rain cried as well. But sure karrigan isn't the right one. Except karrigan I could only Imagen they get Krystal.. Cuz all others aren't possible or too bad as IGL. They need a full IGL not a mxied one.

Karrigan will fuck up FaZe again. This is a horrible choice, but then again not surprising.
