Official: Triumph add cynic on trial

The 21-year-old will have a chance to make a place for himself on the team permanently.

Triumph have confirmed the addition of David "⁠cynic⁠" Polster to their roster in lieu of Danny "⁠Cxzi⁠" Strzelczyk, who was moved to the bench after a rocky start to the year with several losses to Extra Salt and Secret Club that ended in poor finishes at cash cups and qualifiers.

The incoming player has now reunited with Wesley "⁠viz⁠" Harris and Brendan "⁠Bwills⁠" Williams, whom he played with in Levitate and Positive Vibes Only, but he will have to earn his place on Triumph nonetheless, as he is currently on an initial test period.

cynic had been posting impressive numbers since the beginning of the year with Recon 5 before being taken in on a trial basis by Triumph, averaging a 1.27 rating in 35 maps, and was mentioned as a player to watch by Matthew "⁠mCe⁠" Elmore in an interview in January.

cynic played his first match for Triumph on Wednesday night in their ESEA Premier bout against Rebirth, who fielded Cxzi, and although the 21-year-old was one of the top performers on the server it wasn't enough to secure a victory, as Marcos "⁠tacitus⁠" Castilho's men fell 1-2 after a 30-round decider map on Inferno, making it their first loss in the ESEA league out of four matches played.

Cxzi's contractual situation with Triumph is currently unknown, although it is to be commented on shortly by the organization according to Dust2.us.
