The Ukrainian prodigy earned his second medal of the year and the 13th of his career.

Natus Vincere star Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 by HLTV.org. The 23-year-old capped off a memorable tournament with a 1.38 series rating in the 3-0 victory over Gambit in the final, topping the scoreboard on both Overpass (1.71 rating) and Dust2 (1.59).

s1mple had only two under-1.00 ratings over the course of the tournament and ended 12 of the 15 maps that he played with ratings higher than, or equal to, 1.25. He made the tournament's stats leaderboards in 15 categories, most notably rating (1.41, second only to Mathieu "⁠ZywOo⁠" Herbaut's 1.53), ADR (90.8), Impact (1.52), clutches (10) and percentage of rounds with at least one kill (57.6%).

s1mple adds another MVP to his collection

s1mple's accomplishments continue to rack up: He has the second-most MVP medals at 13, two more than ZywOo — who beat the Ukrainian to the title of the best player in the world in 2019 and 2020 — and five fewer than Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz.
