olofmeister returns to FaZe lineup

Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken revealed that the team plans to use the Swedish veteran "on a more permanent basis".

Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer has been reinstated as an active player for FaZe, his teammate Twistzz revealed on Monday in an interview with Dot Esports. The 29-year-old will take part in FaZe's games at the BLAST Premier Spring Final, and is expected to keep his spot on the lineup for the foreseeable future.

FaZe recall olofmeister once again

"I think it's the best situation we could come up with because we have one of the best lurkers in the game still willing to come off the bench," Twistzz said in the interview, revealing that FaZe is "creating new things, and if it wasn’t permanent we wouldn’t be creating new things" with olofmeister, who they "really believe in".

olofmeister lands on the roster in place of Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David, who departed FaZe at the start of June after a disappointing run of form which saw the international roster reach the lowest point in the rankings in their organization's history.

FaZe will be hoping that the return of olofmeister, praised by Twistzz as "without a doubt, he’s the smartest player I've ever played with", will reinvigorate the team ahead of the summer break and see them climb back into the top 30 of the world.

Mate it isn't always about individual performance and stats whether a team is doing good or bad. In this case, faze doesn't have bad players, their system just simply doesn't work. They won like 40% of their T rounds the last 3 months cuz they don't have a set structure. olofmeister is gonna help in that regard and will for sure improve the team in pretty much any other aspect than individual performance.

Pretty certain it was more for suitability to the role and that FaZe has chemistry with Olofmeister as opposed to a brand new player. On paper in makes sense but I don't know if this was the correct more or not given Olofmeister was underperforming for FaZe Clan quite hard for a while.

I sure hope so, he is definitely one of the smartest players out there so I don’t think he’ll have any issue adapting to the current meta. He should be able to make up for raw skill with his experience but that’ll only last as long as he feels like it. Good to see you active friend.

Well it's like I stated in another topic: FaZe Clan reinstated Olofmeister because of the role requirements and the fact that Olofmeister has chemistry with FaZe Clan as opposed to signing a brand new player. If you want to make FaZe work once and for all, just take Karrigan to Coach, make RobbaN manager or something like that - and bring cold again, before karrigan joining and olof semi-retiring they were hitting everything they could with that lineup, it was chemistry like never before, why not give it a try with an actual coach that we know that's a good IGL just lacks aim/skill for the current state of the game? I feel frustrated how they have everything to work out but insist in options that they know that won't work. Please, open your eyes or just shut down the csgo division otherwise it starts to look like a joke.

We all love Olof but this isn't a good move. Rain and Olof are washed and Karrigan was a negative rating IGL in 2017 Faze. Ain't no way or how Twistzz and Broky are going to carry this team against the Gambits or even a question mark like Liquid. In fact I think an FPX probably beats them even. Shame Faze management isn't willing to part with millions of dollars anymore. Ropz and this team is real.
