The American has been moved to the team's inactive roster as they look to make further changes heading into the tournament break.

William "⁠RUSH⁠" Wierzba has been benched from Complexity's active roster, the Dallas-based organisation has announced. The change is the second in the last week for Complexity, who also parted ways with coach Jamie "⁠keita⁠" Hall following their 13-16th place exit from IEM Cologne.

The move brings about an end to the 27-year-old's 21-month long tenure as a part of the team, which began alongside Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer in October 2019 and during which Complexity won just one notable event, the BLAST Premier Europe Fall Finals.

RUSH has been benched from Complexity's starting roster

Outside of their single event win, Complexity's results have been plagued by inconsistency, which started to stem following the departure of Owen "⁠oBo⁠" Schlatter and was further extenuated by a break from Valentin "⁠poizon⁠" Vasilev due to an emergency surgery.

Throughout his tenure, RUSH has consistently been the lowest-rated player on Complexity, averaging a 0.95 rating. However, his teammates and pundits have pointed towards his role as one that has been crucial in the roster's limited success, often creating space and sacrificing his own stats in favour of enabling the team.

"It's been an absolute pleasure working with RUSH and I can't state enough how impressed I was in his professionalism during a very challenging time," Complexity CEO Jason Lake told HLTV.org in a statement. "He's an incredible person who I admire greatly and I will miss him moving forward."

The 27-year-old American, who has spent much of the past 18 months overseas in Europe, will have the opportunity to return home and reassess his options during the player break. The organisation, meanwhile, will have two spots to fill on their roster as they look towards the start of ESL Pro League Season 14, which will kick off on August 18.

Following the move, Complexity's roster looks as follows:

Need a better awper imo. I want to see poizon on LAN more though. It may work out in the end. However, Rush needed to perform more than he did. I did not see him get enough kills while being the anchor. I want to see who does the dirty work now and see if it improves the team or not. Definitely will be interesting.

Honestly complexity's problem is not a 1 player thing I think, maybe they could change something tactically, I don't think a lower performance justifies his kick necessarily, and I don't think he's the thing losing them games (we'll see how it works for them tho)

Obviously just changing keita and RUSH won't be enough, I personally hope they change poizon for woxic, poizon's way too inconsistent, or they just magically find a way to make poizon perform more consistently.

Idk, if they pick up someone like Es3tag for RUSH, then they will have a guy who does the shit roles + has more firepower than RUSH, add a decent coach to that and their roster should be fine if poizon and jks step up. edit : ok es3tag just got announced, nice lmao

Then who is? cant be blamef or konfig. Maybe jks or poizon? Cant replace jks since he was the least addition to the roster. Who is better fit for poizon and AVAILABLE atm?? kennys? allu? natosaphix? any of them could work. nato even had good performance while standing in for complexity in past.

jks should be just replaced even if he was just brought in along with poizon. 1.02 rating in 2021 for a player who was brought in as a star isnt good. dont even need to look for any context with a rating that low its just unacceptable. i think nato could be great but idk.

love rush , but i understand the decision, he is fantastic team mate and big early to mid round but maybe a few too many missteps late round and not really looking composed, a few of those clutch chances were big rounds, and some of them were gettable, so i understand.
