Complexity sign es3tag
The 25-year-old's arrival has formed a Danish core under the American brand.
Complexity have completed the signing of Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, the North American organization has announced. The 25-year-old joins the Benjamin "blameF" Bremer-led team on a free transfer after being released from Cloud9, where he had spent the last four months on the bench.
The former HEROIC and Astralis member replaces William "RUSH" Wierzba on the active roster following the 27-year-old American's benching earlier on Thursday, which marked the second change in the Complexity camp within the past week after they had parted ways with coach Jamie "keita" Hall.
"We've had an eye on es3tag for quite some time as he's obviously an amazing player," Complexity's CEO, Jason Lake, has told HLTV.org. "Additionally, beyond that I believe his work ethic, attitude and knowledge of the game will help get this roster to the next level where it belongs. I'm extremely excited to welcome him to the Complexity family."

With his addition, Complexity will hope to find better form after the multinational side struggled for deep runs, most recently finishing in last place at IEM Cologne's main event following losses to G2 and Virtus.pro in the group stage.
es3tag returns to activity for the first time since Cloud9 decided to put its CS:GO division on hold in March following a largely unsuccessful five-month run with the team put together by then General Manager Henry "HenryG" Greer. The Dane was the last member of that roster to be let go by the Los Angeles-based organization, over three months after each of his former teammates were either released or transitioned to the VALORANT division.
In Complexity, es3tag will reunite with blameF after the duo played together in HEROIC for the better part of a year in 2019 and achieved decent results, most notably placing in the top-eight at two consecutive Big Events, ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals and ESL One Cologne.
The majority of Complexity's lineup is now Danish following the move, and looks as follows:
Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke
Valentin "poizon" Vasilev
Justin "jks" Savage
Patrick "es3tag" Hansen
William "RUSH" Wierzba (inactive)
