coldzera set to join Complexity - Report

The Brazilian star is reportedly going to fill in for Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke while the Dane continues his recovery.

Complexity are about to announce the signing of Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David, a joint report from Dexerto, 1pv.fr, and ge says. The Brazilian is expected to take the place of the injured k0nfig, who should remain in recovery for the foreseeable future.

The Complexity stint will see the 26-year-old return to action after he has been sitting on the sidelines for the past three months, having decided to step down from FaZe in June as he cited poor results and the imminent expiry of his contract with the organization.

coldzera is expected to be back in action by mid-September

coldzera is reportedly going to step into the roster after Complexity finish their campaign in the ESL Pro League Season 14 playoffs, in which they are taking part with Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen standing in.

Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer's team's first tournament after that will be the BLAST Premier Fall Groups. Complexity have been placed into Group C and matched up against coldzera's former team, FaZe, in the opening round, with OG and Natus Vincere also part of the same group, kicking off on September 24.

It's unclear for how long coldzera will remain a part of the team, as it likely depends on k0nfig's recovery. The Dane most recently posted an update saying the cast on his hand will be removed on September 15, after which point he will undergo rehabilitation.

If confirmed, Complexity's roster from BLAST Premier Fall Groups on will be:

They said Nato took K0nfig's role, but Cold wont play agro I'm sure.

I think the primary motivation for removing Nato so early into his tenure is because of the RMR's and the major itself. Getting Coldzera in early means that they have time to restructure the team, practice and find a suitable configuration before the final RMR tournament - and means that they have a player with plenty of LAN experience, both in generally high pressure matches and in playoff matches. K0nfig most likely wont be present for the final RMR nor the major so it's sensible of complexity to adapt now and find a suitable replacement early rather than struggle to find one later. If anything this move just illustrates the exorbitant amount of money CompLexity as an organisation has.

I agree with your point about why they decided to change Nato. The problem is that they don't have an entry rn at all. Neither a dedicated entry nor just a guy who is ready to sacrifice himself for a team without being tilted or depressed because of bad stats. Es3tag is a supportive type of player, but he is a lurker as well and played better in xyp9x's roles staying in clutches. Maybe they will change something and find a way to play with all these passive star players, we will see.

I hope Cold take's BlameF's role in being the star player instead of BlameF being the guy taking the lurk roles while calling for the team. He should start playing for the team.

he did in EPL so far, he took more entry duels than he did in all of 2021. It never made any sense to me why he didn't just give his roles to jks when they got him and played the third entry, because he is actually a really sick entry player.

RUSH talked about how BlameF was not good in mid-round calls, I think adding Coldzera would be a big help. You can't be a good mid-round caller when you're lurking in the other side of the map, and you just see dots and try to manage players through the radar. Interesting to see how they change the roles in the team.

Col has had such bad luck since September 2020. Obo leaving first while they were looking like a top 5 team. Then poizon's numerous unfortunate medical leaves and the signing of jks didn't do them any good either. And now their star fragger is out and it remains unknown whether he will ever return to his former form... This is such an unfortunate tale for complexity, and even more so for Jason Lake who loves cs as a sport. No matter your team, you can't say this is all cols fault here, they are quite possibly the un luckiest team I've ever seen

JKS is playing good right now though because BlameF has shifted the overall dynamic of the team - and has started to entry more, essentially letting JKS do JKS shit. I honestly feel like -poizon would be better than a -JKS at this point because as it stands, poizon plays like shit for two months and as soon as people start to recognise how bad he's playing, he suddenly begins to drop a 1.5 rating and is out of contention for being dropped in the eyes of the community.
