The Ukrainian players part ways after a disappointing run at IEM Fall CIS.

Serghij "⁠Sergiz⁠" Atamanchuk took to Twitter on Saturday to confirm Yevhen "⁠j3kie⁠" Serhachov's post on VK the day before announcing the disbandment of Akuma, the Ukrainian team that rose to prominence by finishing EPIC League CIS in third place amid a scandal that ended up with an investigation into the squad and other CIS teams sending a letter to Valve calling for more protocols to be put forth to impede possible cheating.

Sergiz confirmed the team's disbandment

Just days after the EPIC League CIS debacle, Sergiz, Alexandr "⁠Psycho⁠" Zlobin and Dmytro "⁠SENSEi⁠" Shvorak's former CEO at Project X, Oleksandr Shyshko, was investigated for irregular betting while they were representing his organization, although the players denied any involvement.

The Esports Integrity Commission ended up recommending that tournament organizers do not accept entries from Akuma or any team with a roster made up of more than three of the Akuma players or any team associated with Oleksandr Shyshko after sending a report of their investigation to Valve.

The now disbanded squad then struggled to perform at the level of their bronze finish at EPIC League CIS, finishing the second CIS Regional Major Ranking tournament, StarLadder CIS RMR, in 9-10th place, and relegating down to ESEA Advanced before winning the lesser ESEA league to secure promotion for the coming Premier season.

The last nail in the coffin for the Ukrainian team came at another Regional Major Ranking tournament, however, IEM Fall CIS, where they lost all five of their matches to Entropiq, Spirit, Nemiga, Natus Vincere and AVE, going out in last place and missing out on a coveted spot at the PGL Major in Stockholm.

Wouldn't call it "Fake" when it suspicious moments happens in such a consistency that is it unbelievable, like every,single,round, against vp and navi was the most suspicious. You saw Gambit vp and Navi or literally any team got good calls moment, but they do not do that literally every round or insane rotate that happens to be on the opposite site that the enemy didn't stack ,every,time. After that incident, we got 16-5s defeat from Navi and epic fail at IEM fall Cis. Did I mention also that after the accusations,legit every team in that league signed for investigation? Also their rank dropped after the event too.

Well...you see...the thing is that not only Navi was suspicious of that, every SINGLE other team signed and agreed that there should be an investigation of those guys, if not,no one would sign those. And coincidence that after that event they got 16-5ed and global ranking dropped hard? I don't think so, and if you really followed the incident, not only Navi suffer from the suspicious plays, VP and gambit and other teams too. So no, its not that SPECIFIC map only,it's the whole tournament we talking here.
