Evil Geniuses to face EXTREMUM for final NA Major spot

Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz's side battled through almost four hours of tiebreaker scenarios with TeamOne and Triumph to keep themselves in the running for a spot at the Major.

Evil Geniuses are through to the fifth place decider for IEM Fall North America after battling through a grueling gauntlet of tiebreaker matches between them, TeamOne, and Triumph which lasted nearly four hours — in part due to 15 minute breaks between each match — and involved 67 rounds in an MR3 format on Inferno.

The win sets up a fifth place decider match on Saturday at 00:15 between EXTREMUM and Evil Geniuses for the final spot at the PGL Stockholm Major on offer to North America, with only one of the teams able to make it through.

EG hang on to the chance to secure a spot at the Major

Although neither Triumph nor TeamOne had anything to play for as they were entirely out of contention for a spot at the Major, both teams fought valiantly against EG and did not let the win come easy. The final round of play saw EG fight through triple and double overtimes in their respective matches to finally advance, ending Group B in third place overall.

i mean.. i think the BR teams will not make it to the playoffs either except for Furia but EXTREMUM aint not even qualified lmao. Why do you think they would do better if they actually get the last seed? So i think that your statment as BR teams being kicked off early first of EXTREMUM (IF they manage to qualify ofc) it's non-sense in my opinion, they will go as the last seed of the weakest main region... jks is a star player, you dont get more than a 1.0 in support roles and anchor roles. konfig(now cold) takes star roles and blameF takes lurking roles that jks had. jks had to reinvent himself as a practically new player to fit into COL's system.

Can’t see extremum missing the major, they will pull out the strat book early to guarantee the spot I think. From the beginning of this signing, pushing through the inactivity and poor opportunity they have had during covid. The major was the only thing keeping the lights on. Should of crushed pain, and definitely should of finished liquid off in the group. But here we are.
