Official: Extra Salt sign floppy

The rifler will make his first appearance as a member of Extra Salt in ESEA Fall Cash Cup 2.

Extra Salt have announced the addition of Ricky "⁠floppy⁠" Kemery to their roster, confirming an earlier report from HLTV.org that indicated the former Cloud9 member was in discussions to join the lineup and reunite with some of his previous teammates.

The 21-year-old will fill the spot left vacant by Aran "⁠Sonic⁠" Groesbeek after he announced that he will be taking a break from competition on Wednesday for an undetermined period as he steps away to recollect his thoughts.

Despite not playing CS:GO in a professional capacity since April, floppy recently played in a small handful of official matches, briefly stepping in for Extra Salt in an August ESEA Cash Cup, as well as playing in a subsequent Cash Cup on a mix-team that featured Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince, Tsvetelin "⁠CeRq⁠" Dimitrov, and Rahul "⁠curry⁠" Nemani.

Extra Salt will make their official debut with floppy in ESEA Fall Cash Cup 2 North America, which will kick off on Saturday at 20:00 with the open bracket stage.

floppy will have just over a month to get acclimated with the team ahead of their ESL Pro League Season 15 Conference appearance, where three spots in the main league will be on offer.
