FaZe destroy Evil Geniuses; G2 take down CPH Flames as Legends Stage starts

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's men opened up the Legends stage with a swift victory over Evil Geniuses.

FaZe move to the 1-0 pool of the Legends stage after defeating Evil Geniuses on the first game of the day. The North Americans failed to put up a consistent challenge on Dust2, falling 6-16 to the European mixture and moving to the 0-1 pool.

Meanwhile G2 played their first game of the PGL Major Stockholm against in-form Copenhagen Flames. Nemanja "⁠nexa⁠" Isaković's squad was able to secure their spot in the 1-0 club after a great T side, allowing them to close Ancient 16-11.

rain displayed a 33-14 K-D and a 2.22 rating on Dust2

The main stream saw FaZe take on Evil Geniuses on Dust2. The Europeans ran circles around their opposition, consistently winning aim duels and outmaneuvering the North Americans on both the offense and defense. Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard brought Halloween a day earlier just for Evil Geniuses, haunting Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz and co. on Dust2 as he collected 33 kills before FaZe closed the map 16-6.

Meanwhile, G2 faced Copenhagen Flames on the secondary stream. The Danes gave a good account of themselves on Ancient, converting both force buys following G2's pistol rounds and edging the CT side 8-7 ahead. Switching sides allowed nexa's boys to stabilize and take control of the game as the Kovač cousins combined for a total of 50 kills to help G2 win eight consecutive rounds before taking Ancient 16-11.

Have ancient been shifting in balance with the new strats? Many teams had better performances on T side rather than CT side on recent matches, it's rather interesting to see.
