Gambit come back to crush Enterprise and book ticket to V4 semi-finals

Enterprise are eliminated in the quarter-finals after a respectable performance at the event.

Gambit secured themselves a spot in the semi-finals of V4 Future Sports Festival 2021 after defeating Enterprise 2-1. The Slovak squad surprised everyone following their victory on Dust2 early in the series but were unable to complete the upset as Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov spearheaded the CIS avalanche on Inferno and Mirage with a 1.60 rating across the series.

Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov and co. will face BIG in the semi-finals on Saturday at 13:00 . The Germans come into the playoffs after going through Group A undefeated against eSuba and Fiend.

sh1ro accumulated a 74-43 K-D across the three maps

The Slovak squad gave a good account of themselves on the CT side of Dust2, consistently breaking Gambit's offensive economy and leaving the first half ahead 9-6 after to a solid performance from Erik "The eLiVe" Sith. Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov had another off game, failing to find impact against Enterprise as the underdogs maintained their composure on the T side, closing the map 16-12 against the major semifinalists.

forsyy on Gambit: "I think for every team like us, they are an idol"

Gambit came into Inferno with no intention of allowing Enterprise to find their footing on the T side. Despite a competitive start to the match, the CIS squad only registered one loss in the first eight rounds of play before snowballing their advantage to a 12-3 half. sh1ro was unplayable on the CT side, crushing the Slovak dreams of a comeback with a solo hold on the B bombsite. After switching sides nafany's squad took their fourth consecutive pistol round before comfortably taking Inferno 16-3.

Mirage saw Gambit carry on their form from the previous map, taking their fifth pistol round of the series and cruising to a 13-2 half as sh1ro continued his reign of terror. A pistol round victory enabled Enterprise to only delay the inevitable as Gambit closed the map 16-6, taking the series 2-1.

What i understand is Gambit is trying new strats and hence they lost dust2. They were their original best in two other maps

I agree with you, I could see Gambit not playing their usual T sides in dust 2 against fiend and enterprise, even though they lost against fiend yet they picked dust 2 to try out new stuff against enterprise

I don't think Gambit was using their full strats here. I mean the set-ups look a lot weirder than their normal set-ups. So maybe they were trying to test some stuff in order to get ready for IEM winter

We are talking about top 3 team in the world. They have lost to a runner up team that is now ranked #18. By the way I don't know why Fiend is ranked so high., no major achievements lately and no matches with the top, apart from BIG and Gambit themselves. Then comes eSuba. Rank 3 vs rank 62. Close call on opponents map, domination on own. It SHOULD have been domination on both. Enterprise - a team that I have first read about thanks to V4. No serious matches, just a typical T2/T3/T4/T235 team. Still they have managed to steal a map from Gambit. Yes. Gambit is struggling. They win their matches, but hey... Top 3 vs Top 60 should be a domination, not sweating all through the way.

i know this might be difficult for you to understand but sometimes top teams flop against smaller teams, they are not fucking robots 😂 they werent sweatin? they annihialated them the last two maps as they should :) just got a top 4 at the major, they are in the semis now while adjusting to LAN play again. stop reaching, it is so cringe.

they werent sweating? idk if you watched the end of the first map but they looked pretty desperate but yeah then they showed up and stomped EP on the last 2 maps

Fiend are ranked high because they grind a shit ton of online tourneys like republeague and pinnacle and they get ranking points even if they lose, just for participating. And they reach playoffs in pretty much every event they play too. They average over a map a day, its insane

yes, they could've won 2:0 vs Entropiq if they didn't choke the 5v2 at 14:15 and getting a map off of Gambit is also an achievement for a team of their caliber imo))

It feels like Gambit goes to every game in athis tourney expecting everyone to be bots and then start to lose and be like "fuck guys, we can actually lose this, aight let's win now"

Exactly dude, they way they came back from 14-4 against esuba was a testament to this, they play casually at the start and as they see they are losing suddenly they go full tryhard mode

It feels so weird to watch Gambit now, they are playing against terrible teams, throwing first map easily, and then sh1ro hard carries to win 2-1

Individually Gambit was just way better, but as a team they didn't have that good of a game, overall it looks kinda scrappy in the Gambit camp. lately, Idk. why but it feels like they lost their chemistry or something. Enterprise isn't a team that is capable of beating teams like this yet, but tbh. individually they also had some great moments, if they find a good coach, and work really hard and grind grind grind they can maybe do something. GL moving further and respect for a great run. GGWP!

For people saying that gambit looks shit no they are probably trying new strats or just take it easy since they don't want to show literally all of their strats just to win against tier 2 teams
