NAVI get revenge against Liquid at BLAST

Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and co. failed to double down on their victory from the opening game of the tournament.

Natus Vincere have secured a top-three finish at BLAST Premier World Final 2021 after defeating Liquid 2-0. Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's squad secured their map pick of Dust2 16-10 after a flawless CT side before completing their revenge on Inferno 16-11 despite an imperfect performance from the Major champions.

Natus Vincere's lower bracket run in Copenhagen continues with Vitality now standing as the last obstacle between the CIS squad and the grand finals. The consolidation match will take place on Sunday at 18:30 , and the winner will get the chance to challenge Gambit for the trophy.

s1mple gave us another stellar performance against Liquid

The two sides met on Dust2 to open up the series. Liquid controlled the pace throughout the first half, displaying some great holds on the A bombsite while Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic topped the scoreboard. An early 2v4 post-plant in favor of Natus Vincere was the team's offensive highlight in a slightly disappointing 6-9 half in favor of the North Americans.

Once Natus Vincere moved to the CT side, it was a completely different story. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy started to take over the game, powering the dynamic CIS defense to a ten-round winning streak to close the opening map 16-10. Liquid's forgettable T side was marked by poor decision-making as they succumbed to Natus Vincere's flawless defense.

Natus Vincere started off Inferno with their first pistol win of the series, gaining an early 3-0 advantage in the defense before being forced to save after the upgraded pistols of Liquid took the A site. Inconsistency from both squads would characterize the 9-6 half, which would go the way of Natus Vincere thanks to s1mple's consistent fragging.

Despite winning the second pistol round and converting the following anti eco, Natus Vincere were unable to run away with the second half as Liquid clinged on their CT side. s1mple continued to perform, delivering 13 more kills in the second half to give keep his team in the driver's seat. A 1v2 clutch from Denis "electroNic" Sharipov sealed the deal on the A bombsite, closing the map 16-11, and the series 2-0.

Just abit annoyed at stewie talking all the behind scenes bullshit instead of actually practicing and finding form as a team, they had potential to make consistently deep playoff runs, they have individual skill for it as everyone can see clearly, but instead they got titled fast and just decided to play some defaults as a mix while getting paid 30k/month till the year end.

They tried all year and it didn't work, that's why they're making roster changes, no use in putting effort into a team that won't exist in a couple weeks. And trash talk is part of the game, always has been.

Lol he really ran out banana nearly every round just to be killed without trade. And when that stopped, him and perfecto decided to just passively sit at B with no intention of getting control of banana or trying to get info on their opponents. That defence was really weak, Vita will probably choose Inferno against them and really punish Navi's B hold (although they may pick Overpass instead)

I will use the job analogy too. If you already give your intentions to leave (in Canada, we call that two weeks notice), will you fight for cohesion, for the team spirit? No, you will finish your day and don't give a sh*t about anything else. It is not for the sake of the team, stew won't be there anyway.

Sure. They argued and Elige has to be the superman, cuz elige is controlling everything, he is the CEO of liquid, he owns share, around 1 %. When he is not controlling, he should be. Man, Adren try to calm down the situation. You are creating a drama for nothing. 0 t round except pistol, it is elige fault too ? Move on, Fallen was the perfect leader, he will rule the world of cs again. Stop trying to find excuse for this dead team.

No, the first game was the typical slow start from navi. With the same liquid roster, not dead, and a lot of preparations, they can upset teams like navi,. Without any proper gameplan, they had no much chance.

s1mple has as much of a positive KD as FalleN or Perfecto have kills in general. It's pretty insane the level this guy is at. Even tho there are still two more games to be played, s1mple HAS to be the MVP of this tournament unless ZywOo does something truly magical tomorrow.
