The American organization looks to round out their 2022 lineup with Valdemar "⁠valde⁠" Bjørn Vangså.

According to a report from 1pv.fr, Evil Geniuses are currently in talks with OG over the signing of Danish player valde. The 26-year-old would fill out the final spot in the reported Evil Geniuses lineup, joining returning players Vincent "⁠Brehze⁠" Cayonte and Tsvetelin "⁠CeRq⁠" Dimitrov along with former Cloud9 duo Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip and Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta.

valde has played with OG since the team's formation in late 2019 and is reported to have a year left on his contract. With reports that Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen is in talks with G2, a big change might be in the works for the OG camp.

valde could travel to North America to further his career

1pv.fr also added that the negotiations reported previously between Evil Geniuses and Stewie2K and autimatic are going well, and it seems likely they will join the organization.

At what, missing shots? He had decent run with Ence, where they manage to be the over performing underdog for some months. I think a lot of the success can be attributed to no one ever taking Ence seriously and preparing properly. Now in an objectivity better team, he hasn’t done anything. He is a one hit wonder so far.

I was there. Still never felt like anyone REALLY gave them credit and they never really lost the underdog status. Literally every IGL in the game except Tabsen has a bad rating. You can't igl, play support and frag. It doesn't work like that Jackz is the one who really underperfomed. Barely scraping any kills by. Hunter also didn't play as good this year as he did in 2020 and especially not like in 2019

Nah, they have mantuu and flamez, and plenty of available players to work with. The only issue would be an IGL, as AZR, MSL or even sunny have been away from tier1 for so long that it'd be a risk to sign them full stop. Bntet or styko would be a solid replacement for valde, and then they just need another solid rifler to pair with flamez. To re-iterate: mantuu flamez bntet/styko azr/sunny mir/lollipop21k(?) But those are just some random ideas off the top of my head. Far crazier things have happened lol

first of all, mantuu has been consistently the highest rated player on OG (so no valde isnt the only reason) source: hltv.org/stats/players/compare/9031/vald.. second of all, valde and flamez have been very close to eachother in ratings, except the mid-point of the year when valde was consistently 0.1 rating higher than flamez. (and after dec 10th when flamez tanked a little bit) so yeagh in conclusion, valde isnt the only piece holding OG together, flamez isnt that bad except 2 points through this year, and actually I would argue mantuu performance-wise is the best player on the team I would say that with all of these pieces having "average performance", aleksib would actually be a more important factor of actually getting wins with this performance.

Yeah I thought about that too, but I just feel like Stewie has a greater desire to lead a team than valde (pure speculation of course) + he's the entryfragger, the IGL/entry combo is almost a necessity these days. If all players play to the best of their abilities, then I can see this working - but winning when they're outsmarted initially, that's going to be the real challenge.

Actually good. Valde did much better on a full Danish squad. His clinical 1v5 ace clutch was just perfection embodied. He's also incredibly smart. Hope EG finds all the right pieces.

Decent support player if he choses to play that role. However I feel like this team will lack firepower. CeRq seems to be getting back in form, so that's good, but Stewie2K, valde and Brehze all looked average at best lately. And you wouldn't expect to much from autimatic after playing valorant for so long. I don't think this roster of EG will find a lot of success but it def. looks better than the previous one.

the last 6 months was pretty average for elige. So that's why I'm guessing that. Also, twistz said elige took different roles since fallen had joined the team. Sure it will affect elige performance, but in terms of mechanics, elige > stewie. Very often, it was 4 v 5 at 1:00, because stewie got killed without been traded.

I mean EliGE was still the 2nd guy in after Stewie2K in previous Liquid roster, and although he hasn't had the best time of his career he was still doing great. I don't know, it's worth trying new things, Stewie2K def. was doing well as an entry and most of the time he was just losing duels, I agree EliGE should be much much better at this role.

Nitro or shox as an entry would be kinda useless. It would like Krystal who was entrying fragging = basically, A suicide for the sake of the team. I hope they will figure it out. Like eg, I'm more intrigued about them than before.

There are some really experienced names in this roster so figuring out roles shouldn't be a problem really. Some changes defienietly were needed in previous Liquid roster but I don't know if making a whole overhaul and leaving only 2 players is the best thing they could've done, time will tell how will it look.

Well if both -valde -aleksib I'll definitely have to change flair, still like flamez and mantuu but it's not the same without those players, probably also better to let flamez then go to some other T1 team that has a future. Flamez to MOUZ could be interesting with the academy players stepping up too, could potentially become a team like the next Gambit with the young guns. I mean who wouldn't like to see both frozen and flamez on the same team ;)

This lineup has potential, but I'm a little worried they might have too many guys who want to stay back, lurk, and be last alive. If Autimatic reaches his old form that's going to be a great addition, but when he wasn't AWPing he was usually a lurker, Brehze is a lurker, and Valde has been playing a support/lurker for OG. The only aggressor in this lineup is Stewie, which is great as I'd imagine he'll be the IGL, but I think they should have gotten Jkaem. A guy who's played in NA before, a damn good entry-fragger, and since he's on Extremum's bench I cant imagine he costs more then Valde.

On the one hand, Cerq is pretty good at aggressive awping and in my eyes Valde and auti very versatile players who could pretty easily take more aggressive roles than what they've played in the past. On the other hand, every single player on this roster outside of maybe cerq has played a lurk-y role at some point in the past. Big potential for this team to play too passively and for positions to conflict.

I suppose Cerq could be an aggressor, it fits his style, but I don't think an AWP as entry is really ideal. On eco's and some CT rounds sure, but as a consistent gameplan I don't really know if it would be efficient. The guys you mentioned could definitely adapt, I mean they're forced too really. I don't think it could ever get as bad as Cold, Blame, and JKS on Complexity, but the teams built in a similar style which is bad.
