Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's new Brazilian project has been unveiled after months of speculation.

FalleN, Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga, and Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau will once again be playing together as the squad nicknamed Last Dance has been officially confirmed. The three players that won Majors back-to-back under the Luminosity and SK banners are joined by former teammate Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass as well as ex-FURIA player Vinicius "⁠VINI⁠" Figueiredo.

The former Luminosity trio is reunited

"I am driven by challenges and I think this will be the biggest challenge of my career, trying to find the right people to do what we were able to do in the past," FalleN said in the announcement video. fer added that it would be a honor to play with his former in-game leader again, "and to possibly be able to finish my career with him will be so cool". The two players played together for six years, from 2014 to 2020.

fnx was alongside the duo for their most successful period, building his legacy by winning both Majors he attended, while boltz played alongside FalleN and fer in 2017, winning multiple titles. The only new player to the band is VINI, the 22-year-old representing the "fresh blood" of the team.

The team will be coached by one of the countries most experienced coaches, Luis "⁠peacemaker⁠" Tadeu. "We all had opportunities to continue our careers elsewhere, but the desire to be together stood out the most," the tactician said in the announcement.

Three of the team's players, FalleN, boltz, and VINI are still under contract to Liquid, MIBR, and FURIA, respectively. Reports from ge have linked the squad to Imperial as the organization reportedly made a proposal to the quintet, but a home has yet to be found for the team which plans to compete in the North American scene.

Age doesn't matter. It's about motivation and time for practice. Most of players are not really into e-sport after 30. Family, kids - just adult life, so.. if they will practice a lot, they might have good results. Good example is Pasha, in 2014 he was 3rd player on the world, after next year he wasn't even in TOP20. What's changed? His first child was born and he had no enough time to practice. 30Y OLD players - f0rest is still a beast but he is playing for shitty team. Apex and Shox are close to 30. Karrigan is still very good player. Oskar. There is a lot of good players but many of them are lack of motivation.. how long you can play one game, day by day.. even if you are earning money for that.

Originally, you stated that car insurance rates starts to ramp up when you reach the age of 30, which is completely false. Now you are saying that it actually goes down? And that it goes up only from 16-27? Makes no sense at all. Let me teach you insurance pricing 101: insurance rates are based on the average premium the insurance company has to pay in case of an accident vs your age group. The average premium is directly related to fatal crashes + accidents/100mio miles. Human beings perform better in both figures as they age (until reaching the age group of 55+), meaning that the average premium goes down as you age, hence a lower insurance rate. Okay so the NA angle youve got TL and EG which dont look to solid on paper, Furia who have got an awper but have lost Vini who really brought the team together. Theres not really another contender except maybe godsent as theyre gradually improving so yeh I think its possible that if they manage to get Fallen FNX and Fer into good form they could have something. This is VINI's best option. Any other brazilian team would be a downgrade in any terms and i don't see any international team wanting to hire him. He can acquire experience, he's still very young and this will only do him good. Yeah it would be nice to see Coldzera and TACO but since Coldzera is living in Europe and won't play on NA it wasn't viable. TACO already has his project with GODSENT wich is doing just fine. gl for them, it will for sure be fun to watch.

why would no international team want to get him? He played really well if you take his roles in the team into consideration and he seems perfectly fluent in english, miles ahead of his teammates in that regard. Also he seems like a guy who doesn't have much of an ego and doesn't bitch about having to play the hardest/worst positions.

Not a single international team with a brazilian in the roster worked out. The closest thing we got was Liquid with TACO and maybe Coldzera at FaZe but still it wasn't a very good team. VINI's english is fine but i don't think that he can speak english fluently. When i listen to him talking in english during interviews i have trouble understanding while with other player wich speaks english fluently i understand just fine. That's just my point of view of why no international team would want to hire him.

There is a lot of bad comments outside of Brazil, but what people doesn't realize is that this project is already a successful business. On fallen stream it already made more money than most people salary that are here commenting. not everything is money, my friend... They already have earned good money and i believe they doing this for nostalgia not for the money... If you were brazilian you will understand the feeling and what it means to us. I'm telling this because when i started to play was when they were on top and this is very remarkable to me. I'll definitely will root for them, no matter the results.

I don't think you understood my point. Orgs are not there to entertain their silly idea of a last hoorah. Orgs are in for profit and even if they get picked up, they will also be dropped soon. Are you seriously expecting any org to sign them having in mind that they will play like crap?

I would say its more for the fans to not go heavy on them. Ofc they expect some results but it might take time to get there. For the orgs its a bet, if they do just a bit good, like get to semifinal quarter final of a event, the org will farm much money already. At very least the org will break even at the investment cuz of all the fans supportimg the team.

Might be ok t2 na team, i am curious what fnx is gonna play and what numbers he's gonna produce. I don't believe in this. No star player, age issues. If they could have cold, that might be more interesting emotionally, but cold is doing right thing helping youngsters from his region, which i was expecting fallen to do (as he has lot of respect... i imagine). Weird project, i think cold's team might wipe the floor wit them, if they sign right players, we will see.

I don't see a word in which this teams actually wins anything, even in Tier 3 EU. I don't understand why FalleN doesn't pull out another TACO and makes another decent Brazilian team but prefers to play with players like fer and fnx who should retired years ago at this point. Also I'm sad for boltz since the only time he wasn't playing well was when he was playing with FalleN as an IGL, every other team he was good, and I think he could still have some nice career, but unfortunately, he prefers to join fer and fnx. Really sad. GL but they will never achieve anything.

really excited for this project. if they're motivated they could do really well. probably not win any big tournaments but still place top4 and beat some good teams. all of them have enough talent to reach the top but they'll only get there if they put in the work, so really depends on how motivated they are to see this thing through rather than just a last-ditch effort at a big payday.
