Liazz returns on Renegades

The Aussie finalizes the team's roster ahead of their appearance in the IEM Katowice Play-In stage.

Renegades have completed the signing of Jay "⁠Liazz⁠" Tregillgas from EXTREMUM, adding the 24-year-old rifler to fill the vacant spot on their roster after they parted ways with Liam "⁠malta⁠" Schembri in December.

Liazz has been inactive since EXTREMUM benched the entirety of their lineup in October following an unsuccessful bid to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm, with the team falling short at the final hurdle after they faltered in the fifth place decider of IEM Fall North America to Evil Geniuses.

Liazz will return to active play for the first time since October

The team also stumbled in a majority of their European tournament appearances throughout the early portions of the year, unable to rise to the same heights as the roster with Justin "⁠jks⁠" Savage had found under 100 Thieves. Liazz in particular struggled compared to some of his past numbers, averaging just a 0.97 rating over the 110 maps he played for the team.

Renegades, meanwhile, have been a dominant force in Oceania throughout the last two years, but have consistently been unable to rise to greater heights in their international appearances, typically going home with only a single win to their name.

With Liazz in tow, the team will look to be a more competitive force in some of those events as they head into 2022, while Liazz will look to redeem himself after a rather lackluster year. Their first appearance with the 24-year-old should come in the Play-In stage of IEM Katowice from February 15-16, where eight spots in the main event will be on the line.

I mean, he left ORDER almost 4 years ago, a lot has changed since then, also the level of competition got higher, I'm not really sure if he can comeback to that spot tbh. Also, when they took BnTeT for jks he got much better spots, still couldn't perform, I'm really sceptic about it.
