IEM Katowice playoff bracket set

Six teams are set to enter the Spodek Arena over the next weekend to find out who will be crowned champions of IEM Katowice.

The playoffs at IEM Katowice have been set following the final day of the group stage in Poland, which saw Gambit and G2 claim the final two spots in the bracket stage and Natus Vincere and HEROIC earn a direct ticket to the semi-finals.

The action will resume after a four-day break on Friday, February 25 with the quarter-finals taking place inside the Spodek Arena in front of thousands of fans. There, the new squad around Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen will face off against Virtus.pro, before FaZe lock horns with Gambit.

G2 will face Virtus.pro in the first quarter-final

NAVI and HEROIC await in the semi-finals after placing first in their respective groups, with the CIS side seeded on the Virtus.pro-G2 side of the bracket, while the Danes await their opponents between FaZe and Gambit.

This event is dissaster my friend. Most of games were boring, same and same approach from every team 🙂 mad one is fucking confused one. and opposite. Can't believe how proffesionalism look a like nowadays 🙂 I can confirm that old generation players were more skilled, dedicated compared to this generation of players. With exception of few teams and players, most of scene nowadays is full with puggers, onliners, grinders.. 🙂

That is what some people meant when they said that Astralis partially ruined Counter-Strike. They were so good that everyone is just doing what they did all the time - play boring, methodical, and passive CS. Gone are the days in which every single region had differing playstyles. Not so sure about the older gen being more dedicated and skilled, though.

many things destroyed CSGO. Its Valve with their updates from 2017 when CSGO became awp meta, FaceIT platform with its grinding & pugging style, pandemic with creating online heroes. You can't blame Astralis because of retarded valve who decided to make maps where throwing smoke is right from spawn and not by built position somewhere in map. Valve showed to us how much they dont know to manage with CSGO before - deagle, aug, silencer and many more nerfs or buffs last couple of years I mean look i watched yesterday Virtus.pro versus NiP - instead clash of epic titans with sick moments i watched teams who are doing same things every round, smoking from base to middle/A/B and pushing like nerds using timings from time to time. The most disgusting thing is that every map has spots which are being smoked from base I used to play ancient before discovered smokes came out, and i felt again the beauty of CS (positioning, outaiming, utility, executing site and many more stuffs which are part of real CS) There is no C from CS in CSGO bruh right now. But it is what it is, i cant change anything 🙂

all matches are hard to predict hope for Gambit - VP rematch in the final, but Heroic are looking very good. But I think VP will win G2 because their playstyle is really tough for G2 + m0nesy 1st arena experience, then 50/50 against Na'Vi

idk man, Na'Vi has so much more experience in bigger events and grinding through play-offs, i think 50-50 flatters VP a lot. 60-40 or 70-30 even for VP. yes VP are playing amazing CS and Na'Vi aren't.. but now it's the playoffs in the arena and things might change.
