The Frenchman has been brought in as a precaution in case one of the players is sidelined.

G2 have announced that François "⁠amanek⁠" Delaunay will stand behind the team in their semi-final match against Natus Vincere, which will kick off at 15:30 .

The benched player comes in following Friday's news that saw Rémy "⁠XTQZZZ⁠" Quoniam test positive for COVID and miss out on the playoffs. In their opening arena bout against Virtus.pro, the team had their manager, Jérôme "⁠NiaK⁠" Sudries, standing behind them in the former Vitality skipper's place.

you forgot to add that prior to changes in G2 when he was relegated to an awp, amanek was considered one of the smartest players in the scene and openly praised by players from other teams. Also add, a wildcard. Cause Nexa said it the best, paraphrasing here - if whatever amanek is doing we are likely winning.
