MIBR confirm BIT as new head coach

The legendary in-game leader will be charged with bringing success to the Brazilian team.

MIBR have formally announced that Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima has joined their male CS:GO team as head coach. The Brazilian, who left 9z at the end of 2021 and subsequently retired from professional play, has decided to embark on his coaching career and return to the organization he represented all the way back in 2007 as a player.

BIT will be replacing Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci, who stepped down from the position in January this year. The arrival of their new head coach finalizes MIBR's lineup for the 2022 season, with Yuri “Fly” Uchiyama, executive chairman of MIBR, saying that the new roster "seeks good performances in qualifying for major international events."

BIT will begin his coaching career with MIBR

He joins the staff team alongside Renato "nak" Nakano, who will remain the team’s strategic coach and will assist BIT with coaching duties. BIT will be in charge of the team practice and pre-match preparation, while nak will step in for him and be behind the players during the matches at the Americas RMR due to the fact BIT was unable to be registered in time.

BIT hangs up his mouse to take up coaching

Upon signing the deal, the new coach said "I believe in the quality of the MIBR squad. Also in the structure of MIBR and how the team plans growth throughout this year. This whole scenario motivated me to join this organization that has the biggest fanbase in Brazil. I know the responsibility, but I believe we can go far."

BIT will make his coaching debut in the final of the ESL Challenger League S40 on the 3rd of April at 02:00 . After that, the team will compete in the Americas RMR which will be happening from April 11-14, where MIBR will fight for one of the six major spots.

MIBR currently have:

Brazil Raphael "exit" Lacerda
Brazil Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
Brazil Adriano "WOOD7" Cerato
Brazil Matheus "Tuurtle" Anhaia
Brazil Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian

Brazil Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima (head coach)
Brazil Renato "nak" Nakano (strategic coach)

When people say NiKo do you first think of Nico, danish player that was in top 20 2013 or swedish niko who was finalists in several 1.6 majors?

True words! I played JaCkz in lan when he was 13yo (i was 19 or 20), when i came back to csgo after a big break, the only thing i thought was "damn, i was the first generation". Thats why its funny to see young with no respect for players like gtr or f0rest, even neo... i wont argue how the game changed, but, we all need to learn about them, they are history

f0rest Gtr or VP-5 are true legends and should be respected for eternity as long as CSGO alive. Same for old Fnatic and old SK

oh man I played vs Dosia, siezed, hooch and quite a lot of russian top semipro and pro teams on lans and just imagine my suprise when I saw seized in NaVi Also played quite a lot with s1mple back in 1.6 and I was like... wait, what? This toxic guy is there... That was the moment I actually regreted not switching to CSGO when it came out. I played in 1.6 till Dec, 2018 and switched to CSGO just then. So I actually think a lot about where would I be now if I actually switched to CSGO back then when I thought it's shit.

That luckily didn't really happen in CIS back then. Majority of players were playing 1.6 til CSGO release and canceling all major 1.6 events.
