The Guatemalan will be allowed to explore new opportunities outside of the Norwegian organization.

00NATION have announced that they have moved Mario "⁠malbsMd⁠" Samayoa to the bench, ending the 19-year-old's five-month stint as a part of the team's active roster. He is the second player to be benched from the team after Leonardo "⁠leo_drk⁠" Oliveira was moved to the reserves in May.

The change follows in the wake of reports from Dust2.com.br that indicated 00NATION would be looking to overhaul their roster with the addition of a majority of the GODSENT lineup.

While the initial report indicated that six members from GODSENT would be moving — four players and two coaching staff — talks have since changed to bringing over five members, with Bruno "⁠b4rtiN⁠" Câmara reported to be on the outs alongside Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles as 00NATION retain Santino "⁠try⁠" Rigal.

On malbsMd's side, TeamOne have expressed interest in having him return to their lineup, with the Guatemalan joining the team's ESEA roster to help fill in for their final ESL Challenger League match. However, according to Dust2.com.br, talks between 00NATION and the Brazilian team are at a standstill, so a permanent return may not be in the cards.

"We came to the conclusion that changes are needed for us to reach our goals," 00NATION said in their statement regarding the benching. "This decision was made in mutual agreement with the players. We are still in the process to find a balance in our roster, and we inform that malbs was moved to the bench and is free to look for new opportunities."

00NATION's roster currently looks as follows:

Mostly every player, except Leo, were perfoming quite well. We cant forget, that vsm and malbs were having their first LAN experience in 00. Basically 00 plays like every ESEA team, doing default stuff without any deeper developed tactics.

They took a risk, this is part of a player's career TO RISK, get out of the comfort zone, try to evolve, if it doesn't work out, try again, this not only in the life of an athlete...
