Official: degster transferred to OG
Less than a month after standing in for OG in Lisbon, Abdul "degster" Gasanov has now got a permanent spot on the team.
degster has been formally transferred from Spirit to OG, confirming Thursday's report from 1pv.fr and Dexerto that first brought the move to light alongside CIS insider and former player Aleksei "OverDrive" Birukov.
The move sees Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski left out of the roster as the final remaining member of the team that banded together under the OG banner back in late 2019, bringing an end to the Polish-British AWPer's two-and-a-half-year tenure in the active lineup.

degster sparked interest from the OG while he stood in for them at the BLAST Premier Spring Final in Lisbon in June and put on an impressive display, helping the Nemanja "nexa" Isaković-led side reach the semi-finals with wins over Natus Vincere and ENCE as he put up a team-leading 1.16 rating.
He had just been listed for transfer in Spirit despite the Russian side's stunning run to the semi-finals at PGL Major Antwerp, with the AWPer citing his reluctance to spend extended periods of time in Serbia and the team further adding that there had been disagreements over how the team would function in-game.
degster had been quick to make his wishes known regarding a potential future team, saying he would prefer to play in an international roster rather than in one of the other Russian-speaking lineups, unless it was Natus Vincere who came knocking.
The young AWPer was expected to be a hot commodity going into the summer break, but he didn't end up waiting long on whether more options would open up, committing to OG before the tournament break kicks off following the conclusion of IEM Cologne.
The new team, which has now made its fourth lineup change since the beginning of the year following the arrivals of nexa, Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar, and Maciej "F1KU" Miklas, is expected to make its debut once action resumes in the middle of August in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, which OG will be a part of as one of the partnered teams.
OG now have the following squad:
Shahar "flameZ" Shushan
Nemanja "nexa" Isaković
Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar
Maciej "F1KU" Miklas
Abdul "degster" Gasanov
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
Aleksei 'OverDrive' Birukov

Pavle 'Maden' Bošković
