MAJ3R transitions to VALORANT: "I'll come back to my first love for sure, but not as player"

The Turkish in-game leader will return to VALORANT after just three months in Eternal Fire.

Engin "⁠MAJ3R⁠" Küpeli has announced his return to VALORANT, where he intends to continue his playing days. He left CS:GO for Riot's FPS once before in October of 2021, but returned when Turkey's best team Eternal Fire needed an IGL.

The 31-year-old brings a close to a career that spanned over 16 years through the game's many iterations, having represented French teams such as Millenium and LDLC, as well as being a part of the Turkish superteam in both Eternal Fire and Space Soldiers. His biggest success in CS:GO came with the latter, as the team made the ELEAGUE Major 2018 and placed 2nd at WESG 2017 World Finals.

MAJ3R was replaced by Yasin "⁠xfl0ud⁠" Koç in Eternal Fire following an unsuccessful RMR campaign, which saw them eliminated from the tournament with a 1W-3L score, the 31-year-old becoming a free agent.

MAJ3R reflected on his CS:GO playing career in his Twitlonger, "I had some offers in advanced level and for coach but these options for me are not optimal right now. I’m not ready yet to be coach."
