A month after officially rejoining Astralis and skipping their first tournament, Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz is set to return to the server.

Astralis have announced that device will play for the team in CCT North Europe Series 2 playoffs, starting on December 4. This will mark the AWPer's first official appearance following his return to the team and his first since he played his last match for Ninjas in Pyjamas at IEM Winter in December 2021.

The 27-year-old rejoined Astralis in late October in a widely anticipated move but did not end up playing in their first tournament following the signing, at Elisa Masters Espoo.

In Finland, the Danes used Astralis Talent member Kristoffer "⁠Kristou⁠" Aamand instead, citing a wish to "do things right without forcing anything" and "creating room for the best version of device."

Less than two weeks later, device is set to play in the ongoing $50,000 online tournament, for which Astralis received a direct playoffs invite alongside OG, GamerLegion, and HEET. The Swiss group stage of CCT North Europe Series 2 is currently underway, and the playoffs will follow on December 4-7.

They probably will. People shouldn't expect unrealistic things from Device so early. He might suck at first but will eventually find his ground (I hope) . The team environment suck ass right now. If they had k0nfig to replace mistR, this would be a seriously strong team. Ever since K0nfig got kicked, I've kind of felt bad for BlameF, he has too much to do. Hopefully Device will bring some light into the team.

Perhaps. Although Xyp has played a lot better after the role changes they made. Now that blameF is playing more aggressive too. I'd say Xyp has had big role in many of their winning rounds. I really like what Xyp brings to the team. Especially if the rest of the squad is strong. Perhaps mistR will start carrying his weight now

compared to the Academy level, Mistr hasnt been the same underwhelming on the main roster actually and does still an ok job for his aggressive roles that Astralis need. Obviously someone like Staehr is a better option but its a deal that cant happen from the looks of it and Astralis has to settle with someone young and upcoming so why not for once give a long extended run to your academy guy ? i dont agree with it of course, Device Xyp and Glaive are getting old and probably not in shape to turn a young player into something else , time for this Astralis to shine is now.

You could have bought ANYONE from Coppenhagen Flames (except Hooxi) yet you didn't do so.
