MOUZ and Virtus.pro struggles continue at EU RMR

Two teams many had as favorites to make it to the BLAST.tv Paris Major are now in danger of elimination.

After being on the receiving end of upsets on day one of the European RMR A tournament, MOUZ and Virtus.pro have continued to struggle in the Paris Major qualifiers and are now 1-2 in the Swiss group.

MOUZ opened the tournament on the wrong foot as B8 swept the European side in a comfortable Ancient affair, and went into day two with a 1-1 record with a win over SAW in the second round. They then faced off against Falcons in the final round of best-of-ones and faltered in another one-sided match, only getting eight rounds in total despite starting both halves 3-0 up.

MOUZ and Virtus.pro are 1-2 in the Swiss qualifier

The team around Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt and Kenny "kennyS" Schrub are now 2-1 and require one more win to make it to their home Major as the only French-majority roster in attendance at the qualifiers. Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro has stood out for Falcons so far as the highest-rated player of the European qualifier (1.40) following a superb performance in the Vertigo win over MOUZ.

Virtus.pro met the same two teams as MOUZ in the first two rounds of play. They took down SAW without much drama before a slow start cost them the second match against B8. On day two, Dzhami "Jame" Ali's team faced off against Into the Breach and once again fell short after a lopsided first half on Mirage saw them go down 2-9 on the CT side.

The British-majority side continued what has been an impressive showing from the team ranked second-lowest at the tournament, previously bringing Natus Vincere to double overtime and beating Sprout in the second round. Cai "CYPHER" Watson has been a superb performer for Into the Breach with 2.24 and 1.58 ratings in the two victories that brought them within one series victory from a spot at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

0/8 still better. Nexa miles ahead of dexter. Interz is one of the best supports and much better than jdc. Cypher is worse but it doesn’t matter because nexa would not be stupid enough to play frozen as anchor and instead give him more impactful roles.

Interz and nexa alone is a huge improvement. Xertion isn’t good enough but don’t know if it’s only a matter of time or not

Removing dexter is the biggest need. Rest is optional depending on available players

Not just Dexter. The biggest problem is 0 tier 1 experience witb Frozen being too young, the coach needs to go as well. They need a veteran coach to guide this team to better results.

True but dexter is the main singular issue.

Not really Dexter's fault tho, he never advertized himself to be the next karrigan. He is just an somewhat on par to sometimes subpar IGL with some fragging skills, issue is all the pieces around him are either inexperienced or completely underwhelming individually. The team has almost 0 experieneced folks, including the coach whose haydays were a tier 2.5 academy league run. This squad can be redeemed but really needs two very experienced players to lead the rest of the young people and for christs sakes mouz would need a tier 1 seasoned coach who can actually help you dig deeper into opponents playbooks and antistrat them not some academy league hippie.
