From 0-2 to 3-2, OG secure place at BLAST Paris Major over Falcons
The Frenchmen will need to traverse the last chance qualifier on April 14-15 to earn their own spot at the Major on home soil.
OG are the sixth team from the Europe RMR A tournament to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major after taking down Falcons in a two-map series.
The teams currently confirmed for the BLAST.tv Paris Major are:
OG's path to Major qualification was a hard-fought one. The team ended day one of the tournament staring down the barrel of elimination, with losses to FaZe (10-16) and GamerLegion (9-16) gifting the European side an unenviable 0-2 record.
Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen's new side hit their stride once forced to play best-of-three series, though, and eliminated SAW (2-1) and 1win (2-0) en route to a Major-qualifying bout versus Falcons.

OG had their foot firmly on Falcons' neck throughout the two teams' time on Vertigo. The multinational lineup accrued a slender one-round lead by the side swap, but turned it up a notch once on the T-side. niko's men only conceded one additional round from this moment on, adding eight of their own to take home a 16-8 victory and send the brawl to Mirage.
Once there, the series quickly became a hard-fought and back-and-forth one. Falcons were the team to be in the driver's seat by halftime, going on a four-round spree toward the end of their CT-side effort to lead 9-6. Alas, this initial buffer proved ineffective at keeping OG at bay, with the European outfit instead locking the Frenchmen out round after round en route to a 16-13 victory, locking in their place at the BLAST.tv Paris Major in the process.

Falcons, who are fighting to qualify for the Major being held in their nation's capital, will now look ahead to their run in the last chance qualifier, set to play out across April 14-15.
Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt's men initially had two chances to qualify for the hometown Major and were nesting a comfortable 2-1 record by the end of the second day of play. Nonetheless, things soon went awry once games transitioned to best-of-three battles, with a 1-2 defeat to GamerLegion and the recent 0-2 loss to OG sentencing the French side to a campaign through the expectedly brutal last chance qualifier.
