Viperio change two players

The UK squad have shaken things up in hopes of putting an end to their 17-game losing streak.

Viperio have announced that Marco "⁠MMS⁠" Salomone and Jack "⁠Gizmy⁠" von Spreckelsen will no longer represent the team's colors. Replacing the outgoing duo will be Javier "⁠Ping⁠" Griffiths, who returns to the starting lineup from the bench, and Kirk "⁠Tadpole⁠" Stephens.

The UK side made waves this year by qualifying for the BLAST Paris Major Europe RMR, attending as by far the lowest ranked team across either of the Major-qualifying tournaments. At the event in Copenhagen they ran fnatic close in a best-of-one and took a map off Sprout, but eventually exited the competition in last place with an 0-3 record.

Outside of the RMR it has been bleak for Viperio in recent times, as they are currently on a 17-game losing streak stretching all the way back March 10, including series against three academy sides and several teams well off the top 50.

Their tragic recent form has prompted the latest changes. Ping returns to the main roster after being moved to the bench in January while the new arrival, Tadpole, joins after having represented Dripmen most recently, however he also featured for BLVKHVND and Into the Breach in the past.

Viperio's first match with the new roster is slated for Wednesday at 19:00 . They will face Copenhagen Flames in the second round of CCT Central Europe Series 6's Swiss group stage, where both teams will be fighting to avoid going straight to elimination matches as they currently sport a 0-1 record.
